UMass with a nice 10pt win over Georgia. Georgia entered the game 7-1 with wins over St Mary's and Marquette. That A-10 opener at home vs. the Minutemen looms large!! it's large #1...followed by large #2-18...followed by (hopefully) 4 large a-10 tournament games...hopefully followed by a bunch of larges in the "big dance"...

Wasn't sure where to post this but the way it's playing out so far, the p5 conferences, especially the big12, look poised to take every at-large bid.
At this point there's zero chance the a10 garners more than 2 bids and even that's a big leap right now.
Bonnies may have to win out their schedule and lose in a10 championship to get at—large. We all know how ugly that loss to Niagara was and sadly, the win over MD hasn't helped as much as I hoped. Have you seen their schedule? What a bunch of cupcakes on their home court!

Sadly I think Bonadude is correct. Excluding the Power 5 and Big East, are the at large bids for the last 5 NCAA Tournaments. Do you notice an ugly trend? 2013 - 10 2014 - 10 2015 - 7 2016 - 6 2017 - 4 (Cincinnati is included being from American Athletic, but are not a mid major. Actually there are just 3 mid majors). Just 3 years ago (2014) the A-10 received 5 at large bids, which is more than all the mid majors combined last year. Soon the NCAA will become the Power 5, Big East and high majors from American Athletic against the other conference tournament champions. It is unfair and simply wrong. Personally, I think if we have the resume, and so far we have a really good start to one, we get in. Does anyone see the committee concluding we have the resume, but then NOT inviting us because there’s already one or two A-10 teams in and they don’t want to include a second or third that otherwise is qualified? I know many here are still furious about the year before last, but come on, ease up with the conspiracy theories. Let’s just beat NE and Cuse and not collapse in the league and we’ll be fine, and if we beat NE, winning in the Dome may not even be necessary, although then we’d better make the tourney finals.

Definitely agree. I don't think the committee is actively seeking to make the a10 a one bid league. The reality is that the big schools are just dominating. Tcu is 10-0 and isn't even in the top 10! Right now the big 12 looks like they could legitimately earn 10 bids. The lack of parity is insane.

Just checked out the top 25. uri only has 3 votes in ap and 6 in USA today! They're a bubble team.
If the season ended today a10 is a 1 bid league.

Tonight Georgia State did beat UMass.....Tyson kept the string of Bona/former Bona centers foul propensity, with 4 fouls in 12 minutes and 0 points and 2 rebounds.

Game of note, KenPom 193 Wofford takes down UNC 79-75. Our upset Friday will be minor compared to that. Crush the Orange

The A10 has its last OOC game tonight, 7-3 URI goes against Florida Gulf Coast at 7pm in Kingston....game is televised on ESPNU. I am interested in watching those RAMs, and I really hate having to hope a Hurley led team wins.

The sad reality is that I'm going to be grudgingly rooting for them throughout a10 play (minus two exceptions) because if they don't win the a10 tournament, it would be bad for the conference if they don't get an at-large because of a loss to Fordham, etc.

One thing very obvious, that senior Andre Berry for URI, is berry berry big, in a broad kind of way...6'8" 275. Not as big, though as who we will see on Saturday...Rashaun Holloway.
