Chuck, as usual great research. The comments from someone observing observing quintin s play in quintin rave reviews. Taking into consideration those observations were 2018, and if you looked at some of the names of some of the other players there at10” kid who is really coming into his own the showcase, I spotted the freshmen center from mass and a kid named weeds who is a big time contributor this year for DePaul, I would say he is in very good company. Pretty excited about qintin playing for the bonnies next season. Osage and feminist are both really talented. For now however, if I get to choose I m keeping my fingers crossed for femi s high school teammate, Isaiah Richards, a 6’10” kid who is really starting shine. For now I ‘ll have to hand it to coach Schmidt and his staff for finding quintin. He looks to me to be Obi toppin like.

Playing 24 mpg grabs 10.5 rebs. 15.1 ppg As much as I like his stats, I think we need to be looking at freshman, preferably, or a single season grad transfer. We will have a number of guys that fit Osawe's description at the 2,3 and 4 next year, who will hopefully be better with another year of development. If we bring in another member of the then junior class, when that junior class graduates, we are going to have a rather large hole to fill. Making that hole deeper doesn't make as much sense as trying to land a couple of good freshman to develop. Then when this large junior class graduates (OO, Lofton, Dom, Jaren & others), we will still have the two top freshman from this year (Vasquez and Winston), and hopefully two additional freshman being recruited now, who will be sophomores and ready to contribute after that graduation. At least that way, we will hopefully have a talented starting 4, and a throng of freshman. We will just have to hope that year for no bad injuries. If we have to recruit 8 guys in one year, I am sure we can get a mix of transfers, jucos, and freshman, but the job is much harder and we will be looking at a couple, maybe a few, tough years.

I completely agree with the above, but this is what I thought last spring. Schmidt had 6 players that would make up next year's junior class. Last thing he would need is another and especially another wing. What happens? Schmidt signs Jaren and 6'5" Jalen Adaway. It would have been the wrong move passing on Jaren because of his position or the number of players in his class. I think what Schmidt cares about most is the talent of the player. How else can you explain next year's junior class having 8 players. By the way Jaren is an important addition to this class and I'm extremely thankful he is on this team, even with 8 players being in his class. Some additional information on Kevin Osawe. Kevin was named the MVP of last year's national JUCO tournament and also the MVP of the national JUCO tournament championship game. Kevin is the leading scorer and leading rebounder for Vincennes, currently the 8th ranked JUCO in the nation. The difference with 6'6" Kevin Osawe is I think he will be playing power forward. Osawe is 3rd in the nation in defensive rebounds and 16th in total rebounds. His offensive stats indicates he is much more of an inside player than a 3 point shooter. Jonathan Hall was named the MVP of the JUCO national tournament and he worked out well. Jaren has caused me to change my opinion from last year. I now want the most talented player for the Bonnies, regardless of class or position. stats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2019-20/div1/players?pos=bc&sort=drebpgstats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2019-20/div1/players?pos=bt&sort=treb

I'm going to get hammered for this, but past data & changing collegiate landscape, tells me we'll have more than one 'ship to offer. Osawe, I believe, would be a tremendous get...and with another opening (or two...) I believe the team can/will address other areas, i.e. back-up big, back-up PG, etc.
Again, no names are being offered up here...just going off of historical data and the games current state. At the end of the day, you recruit talent in the modern game.
Go Bonas!

As Chuck pointed out OSAWE was the MVP of last years Div I JUCO Champiosnhip Tourney at Hutch. His Vincennes team beat JAREN ENGLISH's team by 10.
In the semi final and championship game OSAWE averaged 22 ppg and 9 rebs. Chuck also pointed out that he is more a threat inside the arc. That said he does put up treys and hit 9-14 in last years Champiosnhip Tourney.
This season he is 41% FGs and 33% TREYs in conference games. He is from Brampton Canada where Drew's dad lived.
He and his teammate PG Craig Porter were selected pre season All Americans. Porter is team's #2 scorer and a FABULOUS PG! 14.5 ppg, 50% FGs, 33% TREYS, 70% FTs. An incredible 3.51 A/TO ratio!! AND an unreal 46 BLOCKS!!! 36 steals.
Link to final seconds of last season's Vincennes/Ranger Championship game. You will recognize JAREN on the hand shake line. OSAWE is #20.

I agree with you on adding another 2,3,4. Obviously, Coach has not been keeping up on the Bandwagon. I will have to tweet him the results from our Survey regarding our need for a big man.

I am sure coach is doing his job, we are just doing ours, which is critiquing coach. A backup big would be good, but a good fresh could do that. A good PG and C would be perfect. I am sure coach is reading now.

Despite previous Board discussions regarding the wisdom of adding to the talent heavy sophomore class the Bonnies may have a conundrum regarding #10 ranked juco Kevin Osawe from Canada. Currently finishing a very effective year at Vincennes University. Osawe is a 6'6-205 wing with guard like skills. He is fast, fearless to the basket and finishes strong. He would create a force of Lofton, English, Welch to further expand and explode the offense. Bonnies have been linked to him for some time, and I am not sure what staff coach is recruiting him. He would certainly challenge our existing roster regarding playing time. Check out his mixed tape on Verbal Commits.

If Osawe is a wing, is he adding something to the group that Jalen Adaway isn't?
We already have Matt Johnson who can't get a minute most nights, and that's before we factor in Adaway joining the team and anticipated improvements from Vasquez. Also, English and Welch will continue to develop. We're four deep on the wing already, five deep with Johnson, and both Winston and Plaunits can get minutes at the 3.
A JuCo big man or point guard would make sense for this group, despite what it does to class balance. Otherwise, I would hope to see the focus on four-year players who can pick up where the current sophs will leave off.
And now that I've said that, we'll get another freshman JuCo and an unexpected transfer.

Osawe is an amazing talent. If you have a chance to sign him you do, and you worry about fitting the pieces together later.
