Maybe Pitino and his favorite assistants will be holding some parties for new recruits at Iona - that's a cheap shot I know but Iona deserves it

BONA target and former campus visitor, FEMI ODUKALE, to announce his college choice later this afternoon. I think its highly unlikely to be us, but at least we have something to watch for relating to basketball. Here's hoping its not UMass.

I agree that it sounded like his universe expanded offers wise. It s his teammate Isaiah Richards that I was holding out for. At one time I was thinking about a package deal with femi and Isaiah, but realized we would need another scholarship. I think the next big thing is going to be prospecting through twitter and sources like the transfer portal to find talent. Despite the no physical recruiting campus visits or going to recruits in person, something must be going on because we are seeing players signing with other teams, some in pretty short order. I think part of this is the domino effect, case in point said player shows up on the portal,,shortly after his home school sighs a transfer from another, with pretty much the same profile. The

BONA target and former campus visitor, FEMI ODUKALE, to announce his college choice later this afternoon. I'm guessing it will be SETON HALL.

Femi has tweets about visits from February. Could just be a plan to announce at this time, rather than anything improper happening.

I have been following 6'9"/240 ANDREW SISCHO over the past 2 months who is an impressive Div II All American at #8 DAEMEN College. He is a redshirt Junior who I feel would be a good addition for 1 year as a grad student. Has a 3.4 GPA so I assume he could graduate this year and be eligible to play next season. Reasons why I am impressed. 1st Team All American, red shirt Jr, #1 Center in Div II. Daemen stats: 24.9 ppg, 65% FGs, 11-25 TREYS ( 44%), 12 rebs, 74% FTs, 34 blks, 22 double doubles (Most double doubles in the nation Div II). In DIV II he is the #1 Center in the nation, #2 rebs, #9 scorer, #2 FGs made, #1 Double Doubles (22), #9 getting to the line. Of course hard to assess how he would do in the A10 coming from #8 Daemen who went 24-8 largely on his BROAD shoulders. A measure is how he did in exhibition games this season against Buffalo & Cuse. SISCHO had 28 pts in the Buffalo game which they lost 111-73. He played very well. 10-19, 8-13 FTs, 12 rebs, 1 steal. He had NO help in the beat down. Against CUSE he scored 15 on 5/14, 0-1 treys and 5-8 FTs. Pulled down 12 boards! 2 assists. His coach at Daemen is a Bona grad. In HS he was over weight and lacked conditioning. His body and conditioning have been transformed. He played for Hart at Albany City Rocks. He is a real good kid who has thought of going Div I but loves Daemen. daemenwildcats.com/sports/mens-basketball

Confirming the report above, today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Pitt signed Femi Odukale, who chose Pitt over UMass, Seton Hall and St. Bonaventure, so cross him off our list of potentials.

Wonder what that’ll mean for former Irondequoit standout Gerald Drumgoole. He didn’t exactly impress during his first year in Oakland.
