USA TODAY had an article today about NCAA Bubble Teams. They list the schools and tell the schools' best wins and worst losses. For Richmond, they list ST. BONAVENTURE as a bad loss for the Spiders, while in Rutgers' wins & losses, USA TODAY lists "no bad losses".

A terrific job done by their managers.
Excerpt from their 2 page report on Bona.
"Osunniyi’s rim protection is most certainly felt as he is averaging 2.4BPG. At 6’10 with a 7’8 wingspan Osunniyi makes players think twice before coming into the paint. Their combination of Osunniyi’s rim protection, the defensive ability from Lofton and Welsh, and their mix of a 2-3 Zone is why teams are shooting 48.4% of their shots against Saint Bonaventure from behind the arc. Their defense does a great job of keeping teams away from the hoop."
Some may disagree with the last sentence.
But I'm glad they pointed out that 48.8% of the shots taken against us were from deep. I have noticed all season how all teams took lots of treys against us. More treys were taken against us than any other conf team. Even St Louis hoisted way more than usual against us in spite of OSUN playing somewhat passive.
We were # 8 TREY % defense and #10 in allowing made TREYS. Offenses made the TREY ball a focus of their attack.

Part of the reason teams take so many 3s (and make so many) is because Bonas frequently doubles when the ball gets inside, leaving players wide open beyond the arc. They dare people to beat them from outside and those that are shooting well, do.

Ooc, but congrats to Tareq Coburn and his Hofstra mates on winning the CAA.

Ooc, but congrats to Tareq Coburn and his Hofstra mates on winning the CAA. crazy to believe that team won in UCLA and dominated the CAA but when they came to the Reilly Center they were blitzed by our Bonnies. Just goes to show the potential this team has if they can put it all together consistently

^^^ Maybe the Final Four Team should show up and bring that same "mojo" to the A10 Tourney!

Mason up 38-27 at the half, looks like they will be the opponent tomorrow barring a big second half comeback. Not too surprising since St. Joe's only had two conference wins all season and both were at home.

Hartwell is out today for Mason seems unlikely he would be able to go tomorrow if they win. Joes has closed the gap to 47-44 U12

Good to see that Joes didn't fold in the last several minutes and forced Mason to play to the finish - no mass substitutions/rest for Wilson and mates. They had to play and play hard right to the end.

Mason shot well and crushed SJU on the boards 47-28. Bona better be ready to answer the bell. One rung at a time.

Fordham just has GW's number this season, might be on the verge of being 3-0 against GW and only have 3 conference wins.

A10 Conference as of this afternoon plans to have fans at the Barclays. That may change.
