Is there a Division 4? This is pathetic. You guys realize that this is UB right?

The wagon always delivers. Pretty ironic that the two people who deliver the best non-program connected content are banned from the Wagon....a Bonnie fan site.

My mistake. I obviously had no clue that it was UB. Must be an age thing.

Jon Rothstein Source: St. Bonaventure will host Yale as part of its 20-21 non-conference schedule. This is not likely happening anymore. As I understand it, Ivy League athletes, as of now, won’t be competing in any sport during the Fall semester.

As of now, Ivies won't start until Jan 1, therefore the Bonnies-Elis matchup is off.

I think we are going to see the non conference schedule get completely wiped and a conference season starting in January is all we get. I am glad we have no seniors this year, who knows what is going to happen. At this point nothing would surprise me.

Anyone know if the Ivy League is giving their athletes an extra half year of eligibility?

Mostly unrelated but what a crock of shit by the BIG canceling non con as a Covid measure. It’s strictly a money saving move sparing them from those buy games.
I wish sportstalk/ESPN would would call them out on it. I guess they don’t want to risk losing those tee times with the P5 ADs.
Getting close to single digit percentage chance that the Bonnies have an OOC.

just flip the schedule a little. Start the season in January with conference play, run an abbreviated non-conference slate in March, tourney time in late April

Anyone know if the Ivy League is giving their athletes an extra half year of eligibility? No, they aren't. If athletes don't get any competition they will get a waiver for another year but if they play in one contest in the championship segment (season) then they will have used a year of eligibility.

Ivy League doesn't allow grads to play anyway, so they wouldn't be able to use that year at the Ivy anyway. Some guys have taken years off to get to play the grad year elsewhere if they're going to finish their degree midyear.

just flip the schedule a little. Start the season in January with conference play, run an abbreviated non-conference slate in March, tourney time in late April Conceptually that is simple but reality is not so simple. The NCAA tourney sites are booked way in advance and in many cases host other sports and events. How do you handle all of that? You would have to drastically change the tournament to be at campus sites (maybe not like the women's but you would have to use college venues) and then what about the Final 4? I would love if they could pull that off and get a full season out of it but if we are being honest, that has a slim chance of happening. We are not much better off now than we were in March with the virus. Some areas like western NY are in pretty good shape we are very lucky but it is not the case around the country.

I don't see a scenario in which there are crowds allowed at tournament games in March. You can find unbooked arenas pretty easily if there's no anticipated crowd.
