Looks like a neat arena with some class and history. Seeing a city like Boston is a plus too. Yes northeastern treats basketball like a sport and not a crusade or tournament Mission. Hockey might be more important there. If bona beats them it will be a win.

No kidding did you figure that out by yourself that if Bonas beat them it will be a win. It certainly wouldn't be a lose. You're brilliant.

All the scheduling difficulties we have had over the years, but we could have had home and home series with anyone in the CAA all along? Really? This is the same thinking as in so many other years when there’s been a solid group here complain about scheduling with suggestions that all we had to do was make a phone call or two to get good teams scheduled, but the staff was apparently thought to be too stupid or lazy to do so. In retrospect, this thinking is an improvement over all the years when so many here had similar discussions about our inability to recruit high quality players. At least we seem to be past those discussions; let’s hope they don’t need to return. And maybe with the RC improvements, hot dog size will also be off the table. At that point, we can get to the real argument - shouldn’t we be bringing back football? Delaware home and home. We have bought games with Hofstra and UNCW. I repeat as an Atlantic 10 team we could have home and homes with any CAA team. The point is, if we are looking for at large bids home and homes with CAA teams are not what you want. I believe that is what Bona 20 was saying. Your form of argument is not very effective. I am sure some of the octogenarians will like your comment and you will be happy, but it makes no sense. Good day sir.

Enough already ... Does every exchange of ideas have to erode into an attack ? Aren't we all BONA-Brethren ?
Young guys - why are you so bitter ? I say guys-plural but I suspect that these new handles that always pop up to pile-on are the same poster intent on making his point and taking non-stop shots at us older posters. Seriously - Relax dudes. I think I can speak for the vast majority of posters on this site - we just want to talk BONA Basketball. I have certainly taken the bait from time to time, but this type of communication is not what I come here for.
Have a great holiday weekend.

"Hockey might be more important there." Northeastern Men's hockey is OK, but never wins anything. Northeastern Women's hockey played in the NCAA Championship Game this past season and lost to defending champion, Wisconsin, in ovetime. Their goalkeeper is Olympic bound and the captain of Team USA is a Northeastern graduate. But to put this all in perspective, the Northeastern Men's Basketball Team is not highly regarded. When the Bonnies lost there a few years ago, the Bonnies program was worse than Northeastern's.

Hang in there old coach, us old guys need you. Remember the last time a group of those young whippersnappers revolted and finally left to start their own board. I guess they are still over there and will welcome these newbies to that board and get off our lawns.

I am honored that I am seen as a “whipper snapper”.

My post is off-topic for this thread, but like most threads on this board, they evolve. I don't post here that much anymore. Threads don't stay on topic and the attacks, name calling and just nastiness are just out-of-control. Frankly, many threads have become just tragic comedy.

Getting past questions of whether we should be playing certain teams in the OOC schedule, does anyone have a handy list of the games that have been set? I know Siena starts things off on November 9, and I know about the Charlestown event and the Va Tech game and also heard about Coppin State, but then there was the Northeastern announcement and things went off the rails. Trying to get this important thread back on track, who else has been confirmed and do we know any more dates?Go Bonnies shows 7 games, including the 3 in Charlestown, but no Little Three or UB or the rumored UConn game in Newark. Plus there will likely be others as we will need more then 7 and the sched shows some obvious gaps.

On the road at SUNY-Amherst Don’t love skipping our home game, but this gives us a chance at a Q1 road win if we beat them since they should be around the top 75. If we played them at home, it would be Q2. It’s not a true road game anyway, since nobody really cares about them anyway and our fans will outnumber their “fans.” Never mind, glad that report wasn’t true.

Hmmm, according to CHUCKIE MAGGIO, this report is incorrect, the Bulls will be coming to the RC on December 4.

Charlestown is our chance to establish ourselves on a national level and for an at large if we miss out on the AQ because everyone on the court for Richmond, VCU or SLU has the game of the life against us in Brooklyn or wherever the tourney is this year. Make noise there and in the regular season A-10, and we’ll be OK, which doesn’t mean we won’t be sweating out Selection Sunday, but it should. There’s always reason to sweat with the Bonnies.
