I don’t think based on the descriptions, but Ebra signing doesn’t mean Amdy is out right? It doesn’t sound to me like an either/or but just curious what anyone thinks or knows on this. Thanks!

Sure would like to see more guards. This is highly irregular for Bonnies having more bigs thus far. Thanks Coach Valentine.

Sure would like to see more guards. This is highly irregular for Bonnies having more bigs thus far. Thanks Coach Valentine. The Bonnies will need (at least) 3 new starters next year. The 1,2,and 3 positions. Some may be on the team now. In recruiting bigs, they may be saying to them that they will need a year to adapt. All three (hopefully) of the Bona big men return next year! I feel the portal will be used again to find needed immediate help.

I feel the portal will be used again to find needed immediate help. Hermit is correct with the above. Schmidt stated NLI has changed the game, where you now build for the next year. Schmidt admits the Portal has become extremely important, because of the immediate results. With NLI, you can’t count on players staying at a school. In 2 years with NLI Bona had 14 players transfer. This past season Bona had 5 players (Justin, Anouar, Anquan, Brett and Max) transfer. Prior year Bona had 9 players transfer with Iron 4 along with (Karim, Quadry, Linton, Joryam and Duro). With current state of NLI, Schmidt is forced to rely on the portal. With graduation Schmidt loses 4 very important players (Charles, Mika, Moses and Daryl). It is likely majority of these players will be replaced by transfers from the portal. gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/2022-23gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/2021-22

Back to Andy - Pitt is on him. Today’s (Friday, 10/20) Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that Pitt hosted a visit from Andy, who it reports also holds offers from Eastern Michigan and College of Charleston and has made numerous official visits, including to Bonas, Rhode Island and Rutgers (and is scheduled to visit CofC later this month). He was seen sitting on the bench watching a recent open practice at Pitt. Not much other info is included about him, other than before PSA he was at LI Lutheran HS. Pitt’s Capel is a strong recruiter, notwithstanding his mixed results as a head coach.

Guess we all realize that you can't take anything for granted. Wish him well but he has aligned himself with a program who probably leads the nation in player turnover.
