sorry for a new thread on this subject, but I don't think I can add a Poll to an existing thread.

I took a shot at One coming back. IMHO, Not OO, Kyle or Adaway. They are either going pro (somewhere hopefully stable) or going 5th year at a bigger program to improve their status.

No inside info. I think Holmes comes back. That’s it. Maybe Shoon and Kyle also. So either 1 or 3. Or, of course, none. Think Adaway and Welch are gone

I like DW coming back and that stroke and rebounding from that position would be huge.

Orange
I like the chances of this happening. Local guy, don't know about the pro career, so another year of playing in front of the family.

I like seeing this poll to reflect the predictions of fans. The players should be in the process of making a measured decision following a pressure filled season up to 2 days ago. They have lots to sought out and it must be done after acquiring accurate information about playing abroad. Agents will assist in this process but they must be carefully chosen.
The players market in Europe has been substantially changed due to the pandemic, affects of the war, & economic stresses caused by gas and oil crisis.
The lucrative contracts in Russia and the Ukraine are gone. The best players from there will most likely displace players on teams elsewhere. A domino affect will take place with players signing with lesser leagues for less money. Would our guys find playing in China an attractive option? China is presently shutting down with Covid reaching the highest levels they have see. No one knows the predictability of teams playing in China this fall.
In short, there is lots of uncertainty about the pro scene in Europe in 6 mos time. Our players looking to play aboard have lots to research and mull over as they analyze their options.
I pray they make well informed decisions.

While I love the Iron 5, having more than two of them come back probably isn't in the best interest of the program as a whole... we need some youthful energy on this team... this could turn out to be really great similar to how Stockard led the team in 2018-2019 where our younger players will have a chance to "grow up" in a hurry.

After the game Tuesday night family members of Dom's said he will be back, we'll see. I don't get the feeling that Jalen Adaway is considering coming back at all. My gut tells me that the guys coming back will be an even number - 0, 2 or 4. Could see it being Dom & Jaren with the new guys and could even see it be Dom, Jaren, Kyle and Shoon. I think Kyle and Shoon will do the same thing, either way.
Should we get 4 back, which I would love, I hope coach moves to a more fast paced offensive attack, pushing everything, which would mean playing more guys. When our offense played fast this year it was when we were at our best and hopefully with Rumple, Evans, JNT a year older, Coul, Quadry, etc, we could play more guys and play FAST often. All that said, I know Coach likes playing his top 5 a lot so maybe this will never happen.

One of them will definitely come back but I could see two as a strong possibility. While it wouldn't surprise me if three decided to return, four of them would be a shocker. I guess all five is also a possibility too, but unlikely.
Just my opinion, or at least I think it is...not sure.

Conjecture based on nothing...
When do people think they will make a decision?

It all depends how much cash is out there on NBA free agent contracts, including G League K's, and European League contacts. My feeling is that two will be back, and I originally thought it would be Kyle and Shoon, but now I am leaning toward Dom and Holmes...............anyway all are welcome. At some point I think these players are going to want to earn a living playing, at least in the short term. I do not see any of the five being taken in the NBA draft. It will be really interesting to see who stays and who goes.......and who takes year five somewhere else. Free grad school at Bonas is not a bad option either.

Welch and Holmes return; Shoon and Lofton transfer (not necessarily together; in fact, to different schools); Adaway goes international.

The incentive to play another year is to hopefully reach the NCAA tournament. There are likely opportunities elsewhere with a higher likelihood of achieving that goal.
Talk of sticking around to work on their game isn't a driver. It only makes them a year older in the competitive post-collegiate landscape, which isn't a necessarily a good thing. Yes, there are political and economic uncertainties with playing overseas, so if any decide to play another year, it would be for another program.
They don't owe the school anything, nor does the school owe them anything, but would certainly welcome them back.
