Our seniors have 3 options. Return, transfer, or play pro abroad. Would like a survey getting opinions on which they pursue.
There is a possible 4th option which I doubt anyone will elect. Go out and get a job.

YES, I will return next season to the Bonnies starting line-up.
BUT, would it be better to get those that rode the bench and those coming into the fold to play the 22-23 season. This would prep them for the 23-24 season and most likely Coach's last season at SBU.

I would expect some formal announcement this week on who goes or stays.

At this point of the survey 71% predict 1 or more will return. 2 returning got the most votes. The watch continues.

It might not mean anything, but I think it’s telling that none of the bench players have entered the portal. I think they know playing time will be up for grabs next year. Their best bet is to stay put. My prediction is Holmes stays, everybody else leaves.

I have put up probably close to a dozen surveys over the years. Usually there are 25-30 votes. This one has blown away all of the other surveys with 52 votes to date.

Thought we’d have defections either way, but certainly would if any of the 5 were returning. Apparently Adaway put on IG today that he is announcing a decision soon. Again, probably reading too much into it, but it’s interesting he’s possibly announcing alone.

I would think upon the staff's return from tonight's game each player will meet with Coach Schmidt to debrief on the season, point out strengths and what must be worked on along with their potential role next season. For the non seniors they will probably await that meeting and the decisions made by the seniors before entering the portal if they wish.

WGT says “our seniors have 3 options. Return, transfer, or play pro abroad.” Jaren is my player most likely to return. — With his academic record, he is likely to pursue his masters degree. — Played just 3 years of D-1 basketball. Kyle at start of season was my least likely player to return. Now I think it could happen. — Start of season was listed on NBA draft lists. Fair or not he isn’t on any NBA draft lists anymore. — A 4 year captain, I can see Kyle returning to prove he is a NBA caliber player. Osun at start of season was my most likely player to return. Now I’m not as confident. — Like Kyle, Osun was on NBA draft lists, but he isn’t anymore. — He still needs to get bigger, stronger and most of all need to improve his offensive game on the low blocks. — Osun needs another year of college basketball for development. The question is does it happen at Bona. Dom is another player, who I doubted would play another season. Like Kyle I now think it could happen. — Dom really improved during A-10 games and then was star of NIT Tournament — Overall Dom is the Bonnies 4th leading scorer, but for conference games he was Bonnies 2nd leading scorer. — For NIT games, Dom led Bonnies with 29 rebounds and was 2nd in scoring with 57 points (Jaren had 61). —If Dom returns, he could be the star of the Bonnies. He also would be doing it in front of his family. This would be a a great way to end your collegiate career. Jalen is my least likely player to return. He accomplished a lot this season. — Named to A-10 1st team. — Bonnies leading scorer. — Picked for national slam dunk contest. - Very little for Jalen to accomplish. He is my most likely player to play pro abroad for next season. gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/statsgobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/statswww.nbadraft.net/ranking/bigboard/ (St. Joe's Jordan Hall is listed at 53)

Jalen will not return. Players who participate in dunk contrasts with cash prizes forfeit their remaining eligibility. Now just waiting on the last four.

Chuck —
I’d agree on almost all of that, except Shoon staying in college. I don’t see his game improving draft stock in just one more year of college ball. The Physical tools are there — he should go pro. I’d have to think a G-league team would be interested. He needs major work on the offensive end, best way to do it is to be focused on that 100% of the time. Not to worry about school or other extracurriculars.
Lofton, I do think should come back. I think his ceiling has already been hit. Take another chance at going out a big winner in college.

Respectfully, can everybody shut up about Osun improving his offense? It’s not his game. Never will be. Nor does it have to be. His offense comes from lobs, put backs, and the occasional hook shot. I actually think he’s more skilled than what he’s shown in Schmidt’s system. He moves laterally very well and is agile for his size. He will have a long professional career as a defensive minded center.
