Wgt - I think the reason there was no T is that the refs felt a little guilty. It came out after the game that Dambrot had called a TO from the bench but the refs ignored him and didn’t give it to him, instead insisting the request had to come from a player, whereas Dambrot complained after the game that league refs have always allowed coaches make the request and get the call. If that’s the case, T’ing him up would have been piling on. But I agree, he had certainly earned a T all else being equal.

Dayton is currently throttling Rhody 39 - 15 with 5 minutes left in First half.

UD is legit. 96-62 pummeling of URI. Nothing amiss with their shooting (56% overall, 59% 3). 15-2, ranked #21.

We are not alone in our troubles in the league. With under six to go, SLU is down 11 at home to Davidson, and Jimmerson is scoreless with zero assists , but five boards. But the Bills can’t get the ball to him in position to shoot. Huffman with 18 so far.

Many inconsistent and/or underachieving teams in the A10 this season. St Joe, UMass, VCU, SLU, GM, GW, Rhody, Bona and probably others.
Loyola was on a roll but they lose at VCU last night. The league is wide open. There are 10 teams with 2, 3 or 4 losses in league play.
That’s what makes the Bona situation so frustrating. We give away winnable games.

Dayton scores first 9 points of game then goes stone cold against Richmond, Spiders as Spiders lead at half 20-15! 15 points in 1st half, sound familiar?

Looks like the Dayton Flyers need a new coach / players - 15 points at half! 😀

Richmond wins 69-64. Difficult to root for Spiders but them winning benefits A10. Court storm followed, isn’t that a fine? But Niagara fans stormed their court last night after beating Marist.

I think Richmond just got the league’s second bid as long as they get to the tournament semis, and probably got Mooney COY. Pretty impressive they could lose Burton but then go 7-0 so far. They are solid and won’t collapse so I think holding on to win the regular season is very possible. Holmes did not look like the league’s POY tonight and was “out-physicaled” by Quinn all night.

I think the Bonnies can get to 10 wins maybe 11 in the A10, with the inconsistencies of the league it may not be to bad.

Agree with the praise for Richmond, who proved Dayton is beatable. After GW, Dayton has a very difficult 3 game stretch with Bona, St. Joe’s and VCU. All 3 teams having net under 90 (72, 87 and 88). I would guess Dayton fans are most concerned with the Bona game. — Bona currently has the best NET. — Bonnies blowout win against St. Joe's probably gained their attention. — Probably more concerning is Bona defeated Dayton last year, while St. Joe’s and VCU both lost to Dayton. In the Bonnies last 9 victories, they have won by an average margin of 22.7 points. One thing Bonnies have proved this season is they are a very dangerous team. If Bona gets on a roll during A-10 tournament, they very well could win it. www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2023/schedule/Daytonwww.warrennolan.com/basketball/2024/schedule/Saint-Bonaventure

I guess we should've seen it coming with Richmond. They had a tough OOC schedule and some close losses to good teams

After the results on the 30th and 31st our road to a top four finish is looking clearer and more positive, IMO. We are now in a five-team tie for fifth in the league and upstarts GW, Mason and Fordham are finding that the bullseye on your back is pretty heavy up at the top. Plus it is getting obvious that usual suspect SLU isn’t going to contend, and the same is likely true for VCU, which still has two games left with both Dayton and Richmond and has irretrievably lost the tie breaker to us so their place ahead of us is shaky. Obviously nothing is set in stone and we will need to win some tough games but for one, I am beginning to believe in this team’s ability to win the tough ones.

Incredible ending to UMass-George Mason game, Mason ties the game on a lay up with 1.5 seconds remaining, UMass inbounds pass then Mason 's HILL grabs ball handler with .8 seconds left thinking they were down one. Officials review video to see the time and rewards UMass two foul shots, shooter makes first, misses second, game over.
