Bad for us if Dayton wins. Man, Holmes is a different player on the road (and not getting calls). Holmes missed 8ft tonight and missed a game tying layup with 2 seconds left. Bad bad offensive game for Holmes. He did play very good D.

I watched the Dayton-VCU game. Dayton was unimpressive. Basically it was four guys waiting and watching what Holmes was going to do and what he mostly did was miss free throws. No one else stepped up to take some of the load off him. Announcers were optimistic about VCU getting a bid with tonight’s Q1 win for them.

However, it's pretty easy to drill holes in their true prowess by looking at who they beat. Yes, I get they have Q1/2 wins, but who they've beaten isn't that impressive. -St. John's is mediocre at 6-6 in Big East play with all of their wins coming against the bottom half of the conference. -LSU is barely over .500 with a losing record in SEC play with 10 of their 12 wins coming against bad competition. -SMU has a solid record at 16-7, but they've mostly hammered average to bad teams (14 of their 16 wins are against Q3/4 teams. -Cincy is their best win and even the Bearcats have 11 of their 15 wins against Q3/4 teams. Sort of feel like the A10's NET rankings are all a bit inflated this year, so it's hard to tell if the conference is improved or if we just took care of the bad teams OOC.

VCU leads Fordham by one at half. Glad BONNIES beat VCU twice, everytime I watch them they annoy me more. SHUGLA sure gets away with a lot of travels! He takes so many extra mini-steps that his violations should count double.

Dayton 36-33 at half. Observation: HOLMES gets away with a lot of travels.

Dayton 64-57 with 4 minutes left, Flyers have shot 21 Free Throws to the Dukes have taken 3, strangely familiar.

Sip, Bernadette and A10 admins may want to take a closer look at this. Bad enough Bona had a wide discrepancy deficit at the foul line, now Duquesne gets the UD "treatment."

I know it is still six games away but I hope Parker on SLU has cooled down by the time he gets Allegany. This guy is lighting it up again and on pace for his third 30pt game in a row.

Wasn't sure where to put this but former George Mason now Marquette's starting Point Guard TYLER KOLEK has been suspended for the remainder of the regular season after failing 3 of his midterm exams. Womp womp This is inaccurate. Head of Compliance at Marquette refuted this claim. Kolek is in good standing with the University. Terrible that someone would post such false information about a student-athlete on social media.
