Who cares??? And do schools really suspend NIL players making over 100k for failing midterms? I bet the top college players are really hitting the books these days.

Bona bye 3/2 will be a scoreboard watch Saturday as teams jockey for seed spots.
It's also a good time for a break so Bonnies can recharge and prep for what's ahead.

Agreed I think this is an excellent time for a bye week. Its almost like an extra bye week for the tournament anyway. Allows the guys to come back rested and ready for 2 games and the tourney

Watching Dayton at LUC. Impressive electric atmosphere in Chicago as Rambler fans are clearly pumped for the game. I think Chad may have exposed a weakness of LUC at the 5 with the freshman Rubin, we will see how he holds up against Holmes (who has 8 of Dayton’s first 10. This is a big test game for LUC to see if they belong at the top where they’ve been all year.

Do we care who wins this? Does one team winning help us more than the other?

I don’t think it affects us at all, but it’s good hoops and LUC looking like they very much belong, although both Rubin and Adelekunwith four fouls going down 5he stretch, but Holmes with three. Tight game into final seven minutes.
LUC holds on to pull out the W. LUC was impressive but frankly I think Dayton has lost some of its luster. They didn’t look that sharp down the stretch, although their PG missed just about the entire second half and was clearly missed. Dayton doesn’t have a capable Bach up or alternative there. Holmes’ free throw shooting is weak and a huge hole in his game.

Great atmosphere inside Gentile for this game, which has been barnburner pretty much from the start. Should be a thriller finish.

If Loyola, VCU and Dayton all win their mid week games, Friday nights game, VCU vs Dayton, could be a huge game for SBU. The winner, I believe would take 3rd place.
If SBU maintains 5th, we may get Dayton as a fourth seed. Still lots of basketball to play for the current top 6 in conference standings.

Sucks to have a weekend bye this late in the season. Not sure how coaches and players feel about the 7-day layoff after their biggest win of the season … but no game on a weekend is a bummer.
It’s not like the NFL where teams need time to heal late in the season. Bonnies don’t need another reason to be sloppy and rusty — they’ve proven that is possible anytime from game to game.
Hopefully they can maintain some level of intensity and continue to sharpen the ax. Keep chopping wood!

I actually think it may work for them... only one road game and then back home for the finale... and they will have to win 4 games in 5 days in Brooklyn... there shouldn't be any excuse for not being the "freshest" team for the A-10 tournament. But you're right that we really don't know when it comes to this team!

Also, going into this rest period on a high note, with the momentum of a solid outing on both sides of the court, is better than if they were playing poorly. They ought to feel sharp, vs still trying to sort things out.

He has had a difficult and unexpected season, but has continued battling and being a leader. Would love to see him light it up and carry the Bonnie’s through the tourney to the NCAAs.

Perplexing how we can beat the first place team in our league by 15 … who then beats the #22 net team in the country for a Q1 win … and our net stays at 68. No bump whatsoever.
