MOSES needs to step up for sure. i don't want to see him handle the ball too much as he has a tendency to lose it. ASSA has been more assertive over the past 6-8 games so i hope he continues it. he needs to stay focused about what is going on around him.

Am expecting a big bounce back game from MOSES today, with the recent DB3 hype, FLOWERS might be seeing more wide open shots that he has to drop. Also, would like to see ASSA find his NYC touch return. Hey Sip, We are on the same wavelength. I'm expecting Assa and Flowers to gave big roles today if we win. We'll need both of them to step up.

Personally, I don’t want to see ANY BONNIE handle the ball too much and I want to see hard, crisp, two handed passes, not looping lobs!

ASSA trying to feed the post is one example, and the guards not moving to the ball on the perimeter would be another example.

Soft passes too often cause that split second for the defensive player to close in, BONNIES have shot makers that can make shots when open, if they end up passing them up, they over dribble and get way too down in the shot clock usually ending up in a poor decisioned forced shot.

DRAME really hurt us in the DUKES 2 season wins.
He averaged 7 pts a game this season but averaged 12 against us.
He averaged 5.4 rebs this season but grabbed an average of an incredible 10.5 boards against us.
The only area he failed to kill us with was his TREY shooting (46% !) making only 2 of 6.
Must prevent his domination on the glass and hope he doesn't kill us with his TREYS.
Key of course is preventing GRANT and CLARK III scoring at will.
In the our last game with the DUKES in the RC our tandem of MIKA/CHUCK scored 43 pts with GRANT/CLARK III' putting up 27 pts. Would love a repeat of that.
In that game our Dr. Jekyll showed up to score 46 pts in the 2nd half! Hyde had 23 first half points.
Clearly, we can't afford to dig a deep hole as we have done twice against them.

Hoping having a roster of guys last chance to go dancing will carry us to victory. A win today sets up a final while I'm in an airplane on Sunday with results not known till landing.

TREY WILLIAMS injured his shoulder in the final 2 mins of the game and never returned. Did not look good. DUKES are so deep his potential loss should not affect them.

Who wants it more? Keep in mind Duquesne hasn't been to the NCAAs in the last half century. This game will come down to the last play. Will it be the same old Dukes, or are they on a mission?

Right now, the Dukes would be my favorite. We can beat them with better defense and that means limiting the open looks. We cannot afford long scoring droughts. I would keep the center rotation going. I am concerned about Venning on offense. We need a clean game from him and he needs to shoot well. It should be a close hard fought game.
