Among LeMoyne’s opponents, Bona has the 2nd best SRS (Sports Reference rating) of 10.59 and UConn is the only team better at 17.39. Interesting to see Syracuse at -21.55, which is understandable with their 4 point win against LeMoyne and 2 point win against Colgate. LeMoyne by far has the worse SRS on Bona’s schedule with a -24.71 and also has worse RPI 275. LeMoyne has a 1-3 record, with only win (against a non D-1 school).
NEC media has LeMoyne 4th (among 9 teams) and Darrick Rose on NEC all team (just 5 players selected). Overall LeMoyne’s offensive stats are considerably better than FGCU. Unlike FGCU, LeMoyne’s doesn’t have any offensive rankings in the 300s. Most are high 100s or 200+. Defensively is where they struggle. They allow opponents FG% (325th) have made 33 three pointers (332nd) and allow 86.5 ppg (348th).
LeMoyne’s starters
— Will Amica 6’0” 11.7 ppg. Has highest scoring average. Has an incredible 71.4% from 3s but has made just 5 this season. Has a solid FG 44%. Very good rebounder for a 6 footer (3rd in rebounding) but has poor A/T ratio, which is a negative (4 assists to 10 turnovers).
— Dwayne Korma 6’8” 11.5 ppg is the leading rebounder on the team. Korma has a better shooting percentage than FGCU’s Kellman at 80% from the field.
— Zek Telkin 6’2” has an impressive FG 56.0%, especially for a guard. Like rest of the top 2 scorers, he attempts few 3s. Leads team with 4.5 assists.
— Freds Bagatskis 6’8” 10.3 ppg is the only player on LeMoyne’s roster, who played at a P-6 school (rest played at low D-1). Had minimal stats at Georgia Tech and UT Arlington. Poor shooting % from both the field and 3s (23.8 and 21.2%). Despite his poor shooting from 3s, he likes shooting behind the arc (8.3 per game). He is 2nd in rebounds.Have to wonder why he leads his team in PT.
** Started 2 games. Nate Fouts 6’7” 8.8 ppg. At 215 pounds is the heaviest of LeMoyne’s top 11 players. 3rd best FG 52.4%. Like rest of team has a solid 40% from 3s, but shoots few.
** Started 2 games. Darrick Jones 6’5” is LeMoyne’s leading returning scorer at 8.5 ppg. He also made NEC media day top 5 players. Well so far this season he is averaging just 5.0 ppg. Has poor shooting stat from field 25% and 3s is slightly better at 30%.
LeMoyne mainly scores inside the arc with a decent 55.6% from the field (Bona FG 58%). Only edge they have is 3 point shooting but other than Freds Bagatskis (poor from 3s at 21.2%) LeMoyne attempts few 3 pointers. LeMoyne has decent height on its frontline (6’8”, 6’8” and 6’7”) but they are really skinny. Dwayne Korma 6’8” appears to be LeMoyne's best player averaging 11.5 ppg, but it is difficult to imagine him at 205 pounds defending Noel or Lajae. Good time for Lajae and Noel to excel on offense. LeMoyne’s poor defensive stats should help the Bonnies offense. Clearly this should be a win.
