For a half, Bonnies were right there, but it got away from them in the final 20.
Akanno has 13 of USU's 16 bench pts. Bona's next pt off the pine will be its 1st. Huge adv Aggies.

72-67 USU final. Cut 10-pt deficit to 3 but couldn't quite make it all the way back.
Brown & Bowen 15 each, Council 13/11, Moore 12.
Shame of it is Aggies shot only 34% fg, 21% 3. But ft disparity too much to overcome. Aggies 22/28 to Bona 9/15.

WOW so proud of this team, what an effort. Wasn't Utah State averaging close to 100 points a game? How many points did Utah State score tonight? A far cry from 100 points. These Bonnies are fighters to the end, they will only get better because of playing this kind of competition at this juncture of the season. I believe we needed softer opponents early in the season to come together, now is the time to raise the bar after six victories. Bonnies look tough to beat in my book, and will get better.

Little disappointed with how that game got away in the second half. But you have to give these guys credit for fighting back. Gotta get a win tomorrow.

Yep we certainly did battle. Showed a lot of heart. Held USU 25 pts below its average. We have some offensive challenges vs zones that need to be resolved.
Otherwise proud of our effort. We have a solid top 6 guys. Backup center is a concern and Thompson making too many mistakes on both ends.
Wish we know what’s up with Jaxon. He’s not a shooter but we get into foul trouble playing only 6 or 7 guys because of our aggressive D.
Let’s bounce back tomorrow night vs UNI or NT. Would be huge to head back north 7-1.
