Wed, about 2:00, several NY state troopers were called to the lunch hall to break up another fight, and guess who was at the center again - AS and WD !
Unbelievable - what is wrong with these people ?
Or are they being "baited" by a group of discontented students intent on bringing down the basketball team because of petty jealousies ?
ps; re the fight Saturday in Allegany; it apparently started when our other poster boy, TR, slugged his girlfriend during one of their spats that occurs every other weekend. But they made up the next day and she isn't pressing charges, at least until the next little tiff they have.
At this rate, are we even going to have enough players to field a team this season ?

I have heard this as well, but I hear the girls parents are pushing for her to press charges this time!
IF this is true, that could have the wheels wobbl'n!

What is the deal with Relph?? I want to like the kid, but he has done nothing but make me want to kick his a$$. Two alcohol related arrests within several months and now he's hitting his girlfriend?? This is very very bad.
On a related note, I think I already hate this board this year because there is obviously a good chance a lot of these posts are totally baseless and could be inflammatory libelous lies. It is already swaying my opinions and we won't and probably never will know the real truth behind a lot of these posts.
What happened to basketball and recruiting related posts?

A few days ago on here I expressed my concern about what I perceived to be a disturbing pattern of behavior . In response, I took a verbal beating from some bandwagon participants. So, I will not make that mistake again. I will only say that it is time for the Administration, AD, and Coach to get this problem - - big or small - - under control.

Wasn't it you that started one of the topics/threads you are referring to? but in a way your right, all of this is getting annoying to read about.....I could just follow the NBA for this kind of stuff. I remember the BB-players as great guys when I was there at SBU; they were polite, outgoing, fun, respectful, etc....do not remember one problem at all except some were more liked than others. (playing golf with NickyU, rebounding the ball as a frosh so Essie could practice jumpers, playing catch with a football w/Glenn Hagen, watching TV with Capt Bob R., etc., etc.) Ok, one problem was BarryA. received a little hazing which maybe could have been too much. (Oh yeah, maybe there a few infractions like shop lifting, scalping tickets.) Not trying to say that I was best friends with these guys but they were approachable and friendly. The basketball team is one of my favorite memories of SBU, especially considering how close the student body was to the program in alot of ways. If life is so complicated now for our student body, what happens when they leave that little fantasy play world of a campus?

good catch, except I guess the difference in my mind is I know my thread wasn't just BS. But technically, my thread is exactly the type of post I am talking about, although mine was more in response to some of the others about the fight/arrests and the lack of credibility the APD has IMHO.

RIP - about the fight - by lunch hall, do you mean the Hickey? if that's so, I'd expect to see a lot more first-hand descriptions of this - state cops coming on campus to break up a fight at the Hickey would be huge news - both on campus and in the community - are you a student and were you there? was campus security there? was it so big they couldn't deal with it? a few more facts, as well as the source of the facts, would be helpful -

Just know that many that were on the golf course at the time heard the sirens and saw the cars rolling into campus. The rest comes from an inside source.
I too would like to hear from a student that was actually there.
Anyone ?

Here's an update, the police report and a clarification:
Catt. County Sheriff's Dept
St. Bonaventure - A St. Bonaventure University student, William A. Serrano, 23, of 119 W. Main St, Allegany, was charged with second-degree harassment Wednesday at 10:48 AM after he allegedly punched another student in the face at Plassman Hall. The other student was not named (it was Dave Fox). Two other students (Smith and Dunston) who said Serrano also harassed them, declined to press charges, deputies said. Serrano will appear in Allegany Town Court Oct. 17.
This is the update: Serrano is an RA, and has had several run-ins with basketball players, including being indirectly involved with the fight in Allegany on Saturday. Seems he has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to basketball players and their preferential treatment (such as not taking care of their trays in the dining hall and leaving a mess, and other petty differences).
And re: the fight in Allegany, it started when Tyler's girlfriend punched him first, he punched back, and it escalated to a brawl, mainly involving, once again, several Bona players and several JCC players.
My question: if he is on probation for his DWAI, what is Tyler doing within 100 yards of ANY bar ? Has he got not 'brain one' in his head ?
At this point, Anthony has to be wondering what he got himself into here. What else can he do to control these kids - he can't babysit them 24 hours a day, but it appears he might have to.

Is William some kind of tough guy? the hickey hall vigilante? auditioning for the Sorpranos?
Sucker punching another student in the face at Hickey? Sounds like bizarre behaviour especially since he's 23 and a RA but he lives on Main Street off-campus.
Unless there's more to the story, shouldn't he be thrown out/expelled? He's annoyed at basketball players because they leave a mess or don't take care of there trays......why does he care?
what's the next step? a drive by shooting? "nobody disrespects me and get away with that" mantra....
The admin needs to cut this off and make a strong statement, these problems apparently are not going to take care of themselves or just go away. Zero tolerance for acts of violence!
isn't the reason TylerR came to SBU was for his girlfriend. His girlfriend "punched" him? wow, that must have really hurt! but for the sake of puppy love.... hey Tyler, lay off the booze and turn a cheek! shouldn't he be walking on egg-shells anyway? At this rate it's more likely he will be playing JC-ball and attending AA-meetings, talking/dreaming about what could have been than leading SBU to 10-12 wins this season.
....sounds like alot of punching going on there....
I'd rather bite the bullet and have another 2-win season than compromise the values and intergrity of what the University should stand for.
Who's in charge of this kindergarden anyway? Are we sure there are only 3-ships available for next season?

RIP reports that at 2pm at Hickey there is a fight;this is creditable because alot of guys on the golf course heard the sirens,at 2pm.May he RIP then reports it was at 10:48am at Plassman. The guys on the golf course knew it involved Ahmad again.I guess my point is that I hope he RIP reported an incident on heresay;heresay that was based on eyewitnesses out of eyesight,400-800 yards away with a bridge, buildings, trees, hills obstructing these many golfers And reporting it as happening 3 hours after the fact.See how distorted this account was/is? I don't doubt the incident occurred in one form or the other ,but not as RIP would have us believe as first reported.
