When will Cumberbrick realize he can't shoot? You are upset about a guy missing two jumpers? Two? This was your issue with this game?

get a god damn shot off at least.. Jalen is very good but maybe not the guy at end of games who should have the ball. How do you give up 82 to this team. terrible loss

How does a team hit 60% of its 3point attempts?

The RC is completely different when students are gone. This is (one of the reasons) why I support the Rochester games over breaks.
You can get pumped up by your fans to be a hero, or by the opposition's fans and play the spoiler, but when the crowd isn't into it and you go out flat, expecting to win, your back is againt the wall and you don't even realize it.
Nothing to do but move on...

Jaylen showed his inexperience down the stretch. Clearly nervous. What can you do. We didn't bring the defensive intensity tonight and they shot lights out. Recipe for a bad loss.

There sure seemed to me to be an expectation over that last 5 minutes or so that it was going to be Jay that was going to carry the team to a victory. I think that is too much for him at this point, but, frankly, there wasn't a lot of other options either. It looked like Posely had something going on with his hand, so he wasn't going to handle the ball much. No one else had it going.
Oh...and the defense was baffling, but those guys just couldn't stop making their 3s. I was actually screaming at one point to let them drive - at least it would be only 2 points we would have to make up. Every time the defense collapses on a drive, another 3 rained down from a guy in corner.

I don't think that is the only issue with this game but you want your offense to work a good shot. Batch shooting a jumper whether it is a 2 or 3 is never a good shot. He should be driving the ball especially when the team is already in the bonus.

Good call earlier libonnie91, could somebody explain to me the last 4 offensive possessions by the Bonnies? While you are at it, explain the last 1:25 of the game. Some might dismiss this as UMES was just shooting over their heads, NO!!! Time and time again ANDELL was late covering his spot on the rotating defense. It's a lot easier to make shots when they are uncontested. I am not picking just on ANDELL perhaps the team should have gone man to man. Also, in the mid-part of the second half when the Hawks were forced to go smaller with ELLIOTT & MEYERS on their bench, why didn't the Bonnies work the ball down to DION & YOUSOO more consitantly? Give the Bonnies credit for their comeback but with 6 or so minutes left in the game, DION, JAYLEN, YOUSOO, & MARCUS looked worn.

ps It seems each year the Bonnies are good for at least one loss to a team they should beat, I thought for sure it was going to be DELAWARE, hope they got losing to bad teams out of their system.

I was hoping it was Siena (but I knew better). There will be 2 more I'm afraid.

I have a lot of thoughts about this loss, many of which folks here and echoing. What a disappointment. Agree with Sip, this team is always good for one game they should easily win and they blow it. What was most shocking to me was the lack of defensive effort in this game from start to finish....I was stunned. Also agree that Schmidt should think about pulling Cumberbatch from the lineup....just my opinion. thebonablog.com/2014/12/22/post-game-umes-disaster/ www.thebonablog.com
