thanks for all of that but few people are saying your comments are wrong ....we are just saying you don't mock your school on opposing fan base message boards.
There is a difference between writing a constructive critical article in a blog read by bonaventure community and what you do which is amusing an opposing fan base by taking pot shots at your own school. That's the problem period. It's not what you say it's where you do it.
As for constructive critical articles on the blog, please by all means...

Gotta love the Reilly Center crowd when the students are gone. Only time you hear them is during the free pizza giveaway.

I would much rather play at Hofstra when students are off campus and let all of the NY Metro fans cheer on the Bonnies.
What an awful loss!

Mihalic made some good adjustments at half and executed out of the gate in second half. Schmidt didn't seem to know how to counter because he wanted Kaputo for offense and Taqque on Defense. Just my opinion. Bounce back and beat UB on Wednesday.

Story of the game: Awful 2nd half
Hofstra shot 16 of 30 for 53% Hofstra shot 19 of 22 from FT
Bona--3 of 17 from 3pt in 2nd half Bona--only 10-12 from the strip The Bona guards, especially Posely stopped attacking the basket
Awful defense and bad shooting = LOSS

Jay had a Zarryon Fereti moment when he launched that 3 to try and tie it. Didn't need it. Plenty of time left. Should've beat his man off the dribble.
Posley, Adams, Kaputo combined to shoot 6/24 from 3.
Gregg needs to be in the starting 5. He's a game changing athlete. Brings energy and a spark.

Yeah it's a toughie but the D had a meltdown much like at the 'Cuse. Too much Tanksley and Brown in the final 20.
Again a quiet 1st half from Dion offensively. Jay and Marcus did their part, too bad Gregg could not sustain after the break.
Hofstra should be in the tournament come March. Mihalich has a nice club. Bona battled but couldn't quite rally late. Happens.

Postgame write up (back from vacation, nice to watch and blog, tough game to come back to)...I'll say this about Jon- he basically nailed this game in his prediction in the Recon- Predicted an 86-81 SBU loss...Hofstra gave us chance after chance to steal this game late but we just could not knock down a big three ball aside from Nelson's in front of the bench. Shooting 6-26 from deep vs. high scoring teams generally won't get it done and it didn't tonight. And while the 11 turnovers aren't awful, 9 were in the final 20. Obv. Hofstra's offense and our inability to defend their screen and rolls and cuts in the final 20 minutes was the biggest reason we failed to get a win. Finally, really need more from Dion...him picking up 2 early fouls each of the last two games is tough for us...Woods did play a bit better tonight save the fouls... Biggest moment- Jay's three point attempt down 3 late in the game. He took the exact same shot in a home loss last year (forget to who). Last year its a freshman mistake. He cannot make that mistake anymore. The play there was ge to rim, get 2 and extend the game. Schmidt will no doubt drill this into their heads tomorrow in film. Have to know time and situation. Just cannot take a shot like that 3 seconds into the shot clock there. thebonablog.com/2015/11/28/postgame-hofstra-89-st-bonaventure-83/ www.thebonablog.com

a little birdie told me - Hofstra had a great practice at the RC. Looking to get the Bonnies in early foul trouble again. They don't think the Bonnies defense is enough to stop them the whole game long so, they are going to drive the base line. They don't think the Bonnies have anyone that can handle their BIG men. They know that the students are " off again " on break. Local court side fans MUST play a 6th man role for the Bonnies to win. Those sitting in the Red seats need to be involved the entire game - PLEASE. GO BONNIES You called it, SoCal.

The Bonnies will get better as the year goes on but giving up 52 points over the final 20 minutes to Hofstra is embarrassing to the program..

The Bonnies will get better as the year goes on but giving up 52 points to Hofstra is embarrassing to the program. No doubt the second half wasn't pretty from a defensive standpoint but Hofstra is a likely NCAA team....Not like this was a MAAC cellar dweller. Just for some perspective. www.thebonablog.com
