As I look through the transfer list looking for familiar names, those we recruited or eligible big men, the last name on the list rang a bill. He is eligible immediately, all 6'9" 235 lbs of him, from Mississippi State. I remember playing against him......remember during Andrew's last season, we lost to the team that Johnny Zuppardo played on, Arkansas State. He only played 7 minutes, and did not score, but I remember him giving us a hard time. Since Arkansas State, he transferred to Southern Mississippi (he is from Mississippi), sat out the year, then went JC, then to Mississippi State. I thought we could be interested in him....never mind, only averaged 3.2 ppg last year.

Last year, a player that I followed, and whose name was on this Board many times, and was a candidate for our need as a big man......JP Kambola ended up going to Ryerson University, a NAIA school and played 2 games and averaged 3 ppg. Guess he would not have been the solution to our needs.

Recent additions to the transfer list include nemesis LG Gill from Duquesne, and Paul Jorgensen of GW who I assumed was the heir apparent to their PG position. From Saint Louis is Miles Reynolds who scored 7 points against us at the RC, and 2 players from Syracuse, most notably is PG Kaleb Joseph, who was Taqqee's roommate in prep school.

An interesting name on the list is Matt Milon from Boston College, a 6' 4" shooting freshman guard out of Florida. He averaged 5.6 ppg, with a high game of 25 vs Syracuse, hitting 5-7 from 3. Probably wants to get out of the mess at BC. Should get a lot of looks......

ouch. Duquesne loses Mason & Colter in their backcourt already to graduation. Now Gill is gone and they are also losing Powell both in the front court. That hurts. They still have that big Darius Lewis kid but he's not much of an offensive player. You gotta think Ferry is on the hot seat and this isn't going to help. I thought they underachieved last year with a pretty talented roster. They showed up to play in both games against us though

Duquesne and St. Louis have bleak prospects for next year. That's too bad for Duquesne, especially since the A10 tournament is in Pittsburgh next year.
