Zero doubt you grab an aggressive PF rebounder like this kid - only question is do we land him with Pitt involved

Rens are always tough & highly skilled. Their executive Dir is the nephew of Coach K & played for the Duke 2001 Championship team. Samson was well coached at the Rens by Mt Vernon Assistant Dwayne Murray.
As Samson visits Pitt today he will be visiting along with a 2018 Brandon Jones a 6'8" four star forward who is #57 recruit in the country. Bona would seem to be a far better match for Samson. He would be wise to make a visit ASAP.

Agree Bill, the summer strength program can really effect the development and transition....

Reading some of the pots on the Pitt lair site regarding Sampson s recruitment.this is in part based on the fact that Pitt is in Avery different place, some would say just trying to fill in roster spots, which I get. The part I guess that I don t care for is the notion that they should bring the kid and that if he doesn't t "cut it" stallings can just let him go. Maybe this is a reality in the game today, but I don t thunk that s how you run a program.. I guess in the end it s up to Sampson, my hope is that he would make a visit, see what he can be a part of here and make his choice.

Pitt...is trying to get both hoops and football back on track...narduzzi is a very solid football coach...jury is still out on Stallings at the ACC level. we shall see quickly..last season was a disaster - pitt has a new AD and she is shaking things up in a positive way - football has a large ooc game at penn state, a win or very solid showing in state college will get pitt athletic dept some much needed momentum. the city seems to have made a nice transformation...so it is attractive to recruits..great venues for both hoops and football...great social opportunities, etc. But...does one want to see the court or sit on the pine ?

I don't think this is how it's supposed to work. Nice picture of Bobby, though.

Dear Bandwagoners, I sincerely apologize
I had tried to cut and paste a tweet from Adam Zagoria that indicate that Sampson George had signed with Pitt. In doing so I mistakenly copied a long, long thread from my twitter account.
I tried to edit/delete it, but have not figured out how yet. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

I hope you take my posting as the good natured ribbing it was intended to be George. Posting Twitter items has bedeviled me. And, like I said, nice picture of Bobby. I supposed that Mayer's arm in the background.

Any further word on Nadarian James? He was the 6'7", swing an from Ohio, who had played judo ball at garden city cc that we had offered the end of last month. I checked on verbal commits and all I could was a southern school and I think UC Santa Barbara, had offered. He had good numbers for limited playing time. What stuck out was the 39%from three.
We've got the u19's playing in Egypt this summer, so perhaps that shakes somebody loose from Canada or Africa or Europe who is looking to come to the states.
I am ever hopeful. Sometimes it s right place, right time.

Haven't seen anything new on James who we offered May 31st. He is a high % shooter from inside the arc as well. His length produced 7.4 boards which was #10 in conference. Also 38 blocks.
He was Honorable Mention All Jayhawk Conference.

I'd love to get into Schmidt's head on this one. He's mentioned keeping a 'ship open to nab a transfer or a super late qualifier. What are his thoughts on two open slots with the expectation of something special next year? Hopefully not a big tease again with some borderline player. See: Ghost of Kadeem Green
