SBU still seems to be ignoring Iona Prep [ AD is ex sbu'er Bernie Mahoney] and Stepinac. Iona has a couple of D1 guys on this year's roster..latest stud is Bryce Wills..just offered by penn state. Stepinac has Alan Griffin - a recent transfer from Ossining and had Aundre Hyatt who just announced that he is leaving Stepinac to attend the Miller School in Va. Hyatt has been offered by USC, VCU, Umass, SLU and others.

VERBALCOMMITSTWITTER is reporting that ST. BONAVENTURE has offered 2017 Montverde Academy(FL) G MARCUS CARR, 6-1 PG. MARCUS is from Toronto and previously played at St. Mike's there. MARCUS is the 10th rated Canadian prospect on North Pole Hoops. MARCUS is the younger brother of South Carolina's DUANE NOTICE, who the BONNIES tried to recruit here. MARCUS holds offers from VA TECH & BAYLOR among others.

Sonny Barrios had a series of related tweets the other day. He slammed Niagara for not recruiting Canada while in he midst of three crappy seasons and then trying to land a highly rated Canadian player. Barrios then noted that Canisius hired the Orangeville coach as an assistant and ended up with a PF from there. His comment on us was that we hired coach Robinson and he got Kaputo for us and there are now there are "rumblings" that he may soon land another "big tuna" I wonder if the tuna might be Carr.

Its not Carr - better and not a guard

Dominick Welch signing would be along the lines of a Timmy Winn signing - great local talent.
III. RECRUITING
EM: Shifting a bit to recruiting, can you tell us which schools have offered?
DW: Buffalo, Canisius, and Iona
EM: Which schools show interest that haven’t yet offered?
DW: Louisville, Virginia, Dayton, St. Bonaventure, Iowa, St. Joes. UConn, Davidson, Albany, Fairfield, and a hand full of others.
EM: Any visits or team camps lined up in the near future?
DW: Louisville soon, and Albany on the 20th of this month (June).
EM: What factors are important to you and your family when making your college decision?
DW: Just how the school and the program is, and if it’s the fit for me and finding a place where I’m going to play.
EM: Do you have a timeline for your decision?
DW: Not as of right now.
