I would love a Richmond matchup on Friday. They are in line for serious payback. Unfortunately that doesn't look too likely.

How about an update on who we will start against on Thursday and the future opponents we see if we win based on the winners and losers this weekend and our 5th or 6th seeding? no1stunna or someone want to project that here?

If you're really interested, it would take about 10 minutes tops to figure out. Please share results.

If we are the 5 seed we are looking at one of Umass or winner of Duq vs Joes on saturday.
If we are the 6 seed we are looking at SLU or loser or Duq vs Joes on saturday.
So there is a good chance we end up playing UMass in back to back games. I wonder if this will impact Coach's decision on how to approach the first game.

This may be unpopular but we are better off as the 6. That leave a Richmond/VCU road instead of Rhode Island/Dayton. I dont think I could handle losing to UMass though, as that is the only way this happens (plus a GW win)

Would not be surprised at all to see GW beat Richmond and end up in semis. I am also hoping for Davidson to beat LaSalle and might be able to knock off Dayton... But realistically we need to just win our first game and then we will really have our hands full against an inspired Rhode Island team.

Stunna, I believe the 2nd Friday quarter (URI vs Bona, hopefully) has a 2:30 start time.
I thank you for the timely and informative standings updates the past month or so, both men/women. Fun to follow all the possible sc-sc-scenarios.

Sleeper tourney team -- GW. That was quite a performance out of the blocks against Dayton. The kind of shotmaking diametrically opposite Dem Bonnies' woes.
Colonials will be Danger, Will Robinson for anyone in Da Burgh.

Ohs - I'd guess most outsiders view us as the sleeper in this tourney.
Regarding the use of the Tri-and-2 on Jay and Matt, in my view, we've already had success at beating it and will just need to carry that throughout the whole game. The attack at the end of the UMass game worked. Specifically, put the ball in Jay or Matt's hands, have them pump/head fake, then drive aggressively to the hoop. The length of the U Mass defenders serves them well against long 3 ball but their focus on that leaves them susceptible to the blow-by by guys as talented as Jay and Matt and will lead the them getting to the rim, where they will get fouled, leading to old fashioned 3s and foul trouble for UMass, and UMass just doesn't have that many athletes to continue to shut down Jay and Matt for long plus may get the House of Holloway on the bench.

Time for Andoh to shine. We've been hurt pretty bad this year by not having a consistent 3rd scoring threat when Adams or Mobley are going through a bit of a cold streak. Dion Wright was that guy last year, which made SBU so hard to beat.
If we advance to Saturday, it will be because we got good production out of our third option. In my opinion, Andoh is key to our success in Pittsburgh, and thankfully, he has been putting up much better numbers since the GW outing.

Sooo....3-15 Dukes are 4pt favorites vs. 6-12 SLU tonight.
This cannot be because it's a "home" game for the Dukes...I've seen their home crowds first hand...there is zero interest in Duquesne basketball in Pittsburgh. Sure do like that money-line for SLU.....
