wow Davidson up 30-18 over Dayton at the under 4 minute 1st half media timeout When the Gibbs-Aldridge duo is clicking, Davidson is very dangerous.

Guess Archie peeled paint at the break. UD is back in it.

Both Dayton and Davidson will be tired tomorrow.

Davidson holds on. Gibbs would not be denied. Let's make it a 5/9 semi!

I'd say URI is dialed in. Dismantling Davidson.
A10 will get a third Dance partner if Rams finish the deal Sunday. Bubblers beware.

Should be a very good final. Rhody is rolling, VCU lived dangerously today, as they have most of the league season.
It will be a bubble buster if URI prevails.

Have to root for URI I guess. Not a fan of Hurley but heck I don't want to see VCU win

If Rhody wins tomorrow and gets that auto bid, Richmond most likely gets an invite to the NIT, and being the 5th Seed in the A10 (and really only being a game behind), I can't help but think that our Bonnie's stand a good chance to get an invite to the NIT too! Or even if Richmond wins the auto bid, and knocks URI out (sending them to the NIT), we could still be in good shape.. Like a previous poster has pointed out, the NIT has always liked the A10, giving out 2, most times 3, sometimes 4, and even 5 teams have made it in a single yr! One stat that jumps out at me is that of all the committee's, analysts, rankings and what not, the NIT has been the most welcoming to the A10. The A10 has received the most invites of any other conference, and its really not even close, the A10 has had 176 teams invited while the ACC comes in at second with 157!. So for a Tournament that is trying to gain more viewerships, hence more revenue, a small private school that has the 4th highest scoring backcourt in the Nation, would not only be exciting, it would be a great story line! Add to that the historic snub we received last yr, and the story line gets bigger, the NIT Committee would be wise to take notices...

So I just calculated the past 15 seasons of NIT... It doesn't look like we will get in. From my calculations there hasn't been a team since the inception of the at large bids and auto bids in the NIT that received an at large without a top 100 win?? Maybe somebody else can check with kenpom, but we were 0-10 against the top 100.. I really hope we can get in based on our 5th place finish!

T'aint happening. Bona doesn't have a leg to stand on. Resume is too weak to merit a bid.
Still, no reason to hang heads. Won 20 overall and 11 in league. Must fare better vs the elite clubs next season.

Are Mr. Blueskies and his merry men all sure that the NIT uses the same criteria for selection as the NCAA? Or does attendance and the ability to draw a TV audience come into play for the NIT?
