Just received info. about the Bonnies game in Rochester. Boy, does this piss me off!!! I would gladly pay $35.00 to see a big time college team come to SBU. $35.00 to see St. John's is way too much. They are in the lower Big East league.
Lets keep our money locally rather in Rochester. If alumni from Rochester, or any other area, want to attend games they can. All they need to do is buy a ticket for the game. Maybe some enterprising person can organize bus trips for home games. Bring them in from Buffalo, Rochester, Cleveland, etc. They can stay the night, etc,

Growing up as a child, I used to love to pay the bus fare to travel down to "the Aud" and watch our beloved Brown Indians take on the likes of Providence, St John's etc.
Just like the Bills, the Bonnies must draw regionally. WNY needs to be our turf. We need to recruit there and not let the top talent leave. Schmidt gets this and I am confident that we will keep our share of local talent. The RC, Rochester, Buffalo, whatever it takes to bring us back...

$35 for a college bball ticket? You've got to be kidding me! Please tell me it is part of a 4 game afternoon or there is a steak dinner (and not Judy's Steak) included!

No way a Bonnies-Johnnies ticket is 35 bucks.

Lower bowl tickets will be $25. Calling on all the Bona faithful to purchase tickets and support the program. There will be tickets available at bargain basement prices in the upper decks. The prices are fair. This program needs support as it continues to move forward.

You don't pay 35 bucks at the Garden for a St. John's ticket!

$35 is for floor seating 1st level center seating is $25 (great seats) 2nd level center is $20 and other seats are from $10 to $20. These prices seem pretty fair. Support the team.

Thanks for posting the entire pricing policy for the Bonnies game in Rochester. That is important information to have.
However, I do agree that the Bonnies should play all their home games in the RC. I am in favor of a "tiered" ticket policy if we bring in big time basketball teams. Also, implement an agressive marketing plan to sell tickets. Bring'em to the RC and lets rock it!!

Listen, the Bonnies will not be able to regularly attract top teams from the "BCS" conferences to the RC. Miss State last year was an exception to the rule. I say, let's play them. And, if the Bonnies can get "home and aways" by playing them in Rochester or Buffalo for the Bonnies' home game, the Bonnies should do it. I hope that there will be plenty of good home games at the RC for the students and local fans. But, the Bonnies need to play the big boys, and they need to be a WNY regional team. Playing big games periodically in Buffalo and Rochester will help.

bona84. . .go screw.
enough of this "were a small school. we need to attract bcs schools by getting on our knees and fondling some johnsons"
shut up.
we can play with anyone.
if you're such a good team then come to the rc. I understand revenue and travel expense plays a part but those "bcs" schools should relish the fact of playing in such a hostile environment.
That's why syracuse is such a joke. They schedule a lay up out of conference where they barley leave their own backyard.
this board infuriates me.

I don't want this thread to start into another fight, but bottom line is the Bonnies have a very difficult time attratcing BCS-like teams to the RC. We all know this. Why you ask, Bonabum06? Because what is in it for them? If they win, they just beat a team with a 200 RPI. if they lose, well then, the NCAA will categorize it as a 'bad loss' come tourney time. No BCS team wants that. Many times its a lose-lose for them. Their RPI will likely sink no matter the outcome of the game. You have to look at it from their angle.
You have to understand it takes two to tango. In the eyes of BCS schools we are a small regional school that has gone through troubles. Maybe if we attract serious recruits and made our way into the Top 100 RPI, then maybe we'll talk about getting BCS schools to Olean and even then it'll be difficult.
We have to get games, such as the Johnnies game, whenever we can. Temple and head coach John Chaney always had the 'play anyone anywhere' mentality. We need to take a version of that and try and get some 'home and homes' with these big teams. And if that means Buffalo or Rochester, fine, sign them up. That, many times, will be the difference between seeing them on the schedule and not.

you mean someone with passion? Sorry bonnieball. I'll try to more mundane next time around.
My apologies if I cam across a little confrontational. Heat of the moment I guess.

"Go screw" isn't passion. It's rudeness and immaturity.
