This is the best part. Apparently the Bonnies can sign both Roseboro and Chandler. Actually Bonnies probably would have signed Chandler last April, but Mike Rosario talked him into staying at Rutgers. I'm also sure Fontan's decision to stay at Fordham helped in his decision to stay at Rutgers. Hopefully Corey's decision is as quick as Brett's.

Any details on the "how" they can sign both Chuck?

Schmidt's ability to sign quality players over the summer is amazing considering he landed Hall, Davenport and now apparently Roseboro.
I think Roseboro is going to be a difference maker for this program. He seems like a Kurt Huelsman type from Dayton. An A-10 center that gives you minutes, points, rebounds and fouls. Nicholson and Roseboro could be the modern day Cyrus and PVP (if not better).
Hard to belive Bonnies basketball is this exciting in August.

Any details on the "how" they can sign both Chuck? The Bonnies had one ship left for this season - that one goes to Roseboro. They'll have at least one ship to give out for next season when Chandler becomes eligible. Chandler's ship doesn't count against the 13 allowed by the NCAA each year until he can play for real.

Hard to belive Bonnies basketball is this exciting in August. And just thinking of all the complaining and whining that went on early in the signing period that we weren't "landing" anyone. The man has a plan, let him execute it. Chuck, how can we sign both?

I am pretty sure that a transfer's scholarship counts against a team's total even while they are sitting out. So I am not sure how we could sign Corey and give him a scholey

Since we're six months away from celebrating the 10 year anniversery of the 2000 NCAA team, we'll use it as the example: JR Bremer David Capers Robert Cheeks Caswell Cyrus Bob Dziengeleski Vidal Massiah Patricio Prato Hamilton Rucker Elton Ruddock Eric Siegrist Pete Van Paassen Tim Winn That's 12. Transfer Kevin Houston makes a baker's dozen. If D-I transfers didn't count against the scholarship count, you'd see teams hoarding transfers more often. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to count the season against the player's five years and not the school's count. Roseboro sounds like a done deal, so in order for Chandler to come aboard, the proverbial other shoe must drop. I suppose that could mean him paying his own way for the year he sits, but I doubt it. Any ideas? Edit: I suppose it does no good to draw out the 2000 team and not the 2009-10 Bonnies, so as of today: Adegboye Conger Cook Davenport Eleby Hall Houseknect Leonard Matthews Nicholson Simmons Roseboro McGloster (T)

Roseboro to St. Bonaventure; Panzer Picks UPenn; Murphy to PG by Alex Schwartz - According to two sources, including Quakertown (PA) Assistant Coach Toomey Anderson, Brett Roseboro '09 has committed to St. Bonaventure. Northstar Basketball recently broke the news that he was leaving Marquette. Coach Anderson informed me that Roseboro will be there, adding, "They are building something strong out there." Anderson went on to state, "He basically narrowed his [choices] down to schools from his

Any details on the "how" they can sign both Chuck? My "apparently" only meant must be the Bonnies have a scholarship to offer, since Corey Chandler still came for his visit. I do not have any inside knowledge. I am pretty sure that a transfer's scholarship counts against a team's total even while they are sitting out. So I am not sure how we could sign Corey and give him a scholey This is correct, Corey's scholarship would count against this year's 13 maximum scholarships. Just like everyone else, I'm anxious to see how they can create another scholarship for Corey. Must be they can, because it seems they would have canceled Corey's visit if they did not have a scholarship to give.

Coach Anderson informed me that Roseboro will be there, adding, "They are building something strong out there." Coach Anderson is not exaggerating. Look at our projected starting lineup next year: C - Andrew Nicholson as a junior PF - Brett Roseboro SF - Horace McGloster (I believe he'll be one of the leading scorers on this team) SG - Leonard Lewis or Michael Davenport PG - Ogo This looks like a tournament team and if you add Corey Chandler? Wow this team looks great on paper. I realize I'm making assumptions based on potential. I know someone (Clubhouse around) is going to be critical and say this is ridiculous and presumptuous, but there is no denying the dramatic improvement in the talent level of this team. It is great to be excited about the future of the Bonnies.

It is great to be excited about the future of the Bonnies. Yes it is exciting to be in the recruiting limelight with higher profile players but also interesting on how will this play out in regards to future recruits and the roster. Who can we add or target? As the roster gets stronger and stronger we can focus on the main targets like: - PG - Eli Carter 6-1 St. Anthony's (NJ) / Frantz Massenat 6-3 Trenton Catholic (NJ): - SG/SF - Will Sheehey 6'6 2G Florida - PF/C - Elijah Pittman 6'7 PF Kentucky / Marquis Gentry 6-8 '11 WashDC / Kadeem Green 6'8 PF (NC) but if Corey Chandler finds his way (somehow) on our roster who are the current players who would be candidates to leave the program? - House -- would he accept being put back in his "walk on" status? - Agee -- is his realistic shot at being a Bonnie at PG? with Corey, is he the odd man out? - DCook -- is he showing the passion in his off season program that would convince the coaching staff he can fulfill his potential and contribute as a role player? - MSimmons / DConger - will one of these guys find minutes in the rotation, giving the coaching staff a taste of there potential and future role? will the other decide a bigger role at another smaller program is a better fit? Of course, on paper there is thoughts of a tournament team but first things first ..... a 500 record (or above) in the A10 and a winning record overall is the next step.
