I'm going with: Bonnies Umass VCU Davidson Except for Mitchell, UMass was a general no-show. Overmatched. This was part of the learning experience for UMASS. They're not ready yet but in a couple years and maybe next year they are gonna be a problem

UMass was exposed. To the extent any team received an advantage from the scheduling mess created by COVID, it was UMass. They avoided playing most of the top teams in the league due to pauses, yet remained near the top of the league right up to near the end of the regular season, then got exposed when they had to face the top teams, when it became obvious that even with one of the league’s best players in Mitchell, they just didn’t have enough help for him. Of course, none of that matters now, they’re gone.

State of Ohio has increased capacity for the number of fans at sporting events to 25%. Around 3350 fans will be allowed at the A10 Championship game next Sunday. Tickets are $40 and the majority of tickets will be given to participating teams. Lets send the buses full of students just like 2018.

I kinda hope its VCU. Im sick of Davidson and VCU/Bonas were the best teams all year, seems like a fitting championship

What has happened to Davidson’s offense? They were averaging nearly 80 ppg until their 3 week pause which ended in mid-Feb. We suffocated them twice, and tonight both teams look lethargic.

I have never seen a Davidson team shoot this poorly. I thought they were bad against us but this is awful. 3-16 from 3 and a bunch of them are good looks

This was the chalkiest chalk that ever chalked. Has there ever been a tourney where zero games were won by the lower seeded team?

Only two lower seeds have won and neither were surprising. I think everyone was on SJU and Richmond really struggled down the stretch. Let's just hope there's enough in the budget for one more day of chalk

Mjf - in response the your question, I thought Kellen Grady towards the end of the year went from a lock all-league performer and possible POY to just another guard who can get hot every now and again, but is inconsistent much of the time. Starting with the games against us, he just disappeared much of the time.

Grady has got to have one of the most disappointing 2000 pt careers., if that makes any sense, it kinda doesn't. Averaged 18ppg as a freshman on a tournament team, it looked like Davidson was set up for huge success, the only concern was if he'd leave for the NBA early.
3 years later, no tournament to show for it and his progression as a scorer actually went down. I dont even think he's an NBA prospect now. If Jeff Dowtin hits that shot at the buzzer in 2018, Davidson goes postseason-less for the 2000 pt scorer Grady's whole career. crazy

Grady is a puzzling case for sure. The talent he displayed as a Freshman was clearly evident. Perhaps the work ethic required to maximize that talent wasn't there. In the Davidson games I watched over the last 3 years - he seemed to lack passion / determination. Can't quite put my finger on it. He seemed to peek as a Freshman and never took his game to the next level. As a result - Davidson's performance this year was a big disappointment. Another potential A10 at large BID not realized.

Maybe he doesn't have the mentality to be Batman and has to play the role of Robin. He played the role great as a Freshman to Aldridge. He had JAG the next 2 years but I remember talk of him leaving after his sophomore year for the draft. Can't be Robin if you're supposed to be the best player on the team.

We’ve seen Bona players through the years who have struggled the same way. Very good secondary options but not able to assume the star or leadership role late in their careers. Or they stop progressing after 1 or 2 seasons.
