Reading Sheehan’s message, I think it contains an unwritten assurance the BOT was aware of, an on board with, dumping Kenney. As I wrote previously, we cannot expect the specific reason to be revealed, that’s just none of our business - and that’s true no matter how long or fervently you have rooted for the Bonnies. It’s a private employer-employee matter and should and will remain as such. That is not true. We are all members of this Franciscan community, and we deserve an open and transparent process. Firing the AD without reason in the midst of a nationwide search to replace our beloved late President is just bad policy for this community. Who is running this show?

Skeller - while I understand and appreciate the importance of your reasoning, It is a legal matter that the University cannot ignore to satisfy the curiosity of even those fully invested in the welfare of the school. The law is that these matters are private, transparency be damned. The school simply can’t ignore that for any reason no matter how legitimate, and being members of the community gives us no legal standing whatsoever, not even equal to someone holding stock in a corporation.

Unless Tim discusses it or there is litigation, it is, and must remain, a private affair. No question!

Skeller, I stand corrected, although in truth I am sitting and that last digit at the end of your name on the first post on page 10 sure looks like a 6 to me😎.

Was there any justification under the circumstances for firing Tim Kenny? No, nothing has been revealed that justifies the horrendous timing of this move. The real question is who fired him by failing to renew or extend his contract? Who? Was it Dr. Zimmer, a remnant of the old failed administration, who were resistant to the implementation of the allied health majors that President DePerro pushed so hard for? Or was it the BoT Chair in some corporate head game move? What ever, the move did the reputation of SBU no favor, and it speaks to the instability in the interim administration, and that is not good. At a minimum the acting administration needs to be open and transparent to all of the concerned alumni and FoB's. Silence is no option.

What if…. He wasn’t fired?
I’m just asking because I’m not sure if we are even sure that was the was the case. Would a guy who was just fired by St. Bonaventure be posting tweets with pictures of his son and tagging the Bonnies lax team? His Twitter bio says “former athletic director at St. Bonaventure” doesn’t sound like a guy who’s butter at all… maybe I’m reading too much into it

What we may have here is failure to communicate, Ceharv. I'm "skeller". The guy posting about TK is skeller6 and I don't agree with what he posted.

Thanks Ceharv. I am a fan of your posts and an admirer of the great come-back you made from medical issues. I guess it's a pet peeve of mine when people think I said something that I didn't (ask my kids). Maybe I'll just change my posting name to Ceharv6; that ought to eliminate future confusion. :-)
