This kid is our number 1 target in my estimation. He could drive us to places we have not been in a long time

Amadou Doumbia started the season at Putnam, but is now at Lee Academy. Last Sunday at National Prep School Invitational, Lee Academy (4-14) had a big upset over #16 ranked Brimmer. Doumbia scored 22 points and was named Player of the Game. — Pro Insight named Doumbia “Sunday Eye Catchers.” He is one of 25 players recognized in games played on February 4th. — Unlike Putnam’s twitter account, Lee Academy offers very little coverage of their games. Do not provide any box scores. Following occurred while Doumbia was at Putnam. — For the 2025 class, On 3 has Doumbia ranked 119 nationally and 15th ranked center. — Dylan Thayer from NERR states “didn’t get a chance to post about Amadou Doumbia at Putnam the other day, but he is special. The big man has strong defensive instincts, post skills and has an incredibly athletic finishing package at the rim.” — Visited Washington State on September 20th, 2023. Has photos of wearing WSU’s uniform. Now the strange part with Putnam. — Nov. 7th scored 10 points. — Nov. 9th scored 11 and 9 rebounds. — Nov. 11th 6 points. — Nov. 15th 5 points. — Nov. 17th played just 50 seconds, 12th in PT and scored zero points. — His last game with Putnam, Doumbia has following on his X account “26 Ben Ahmed set the tone with his bruising play inside as ‘24 Justin Johnson shined on the wing. ‘24s Amdy Ndiaye (Pitt), Que Duncan, Fallou Gueye + ‘25 Amadou Doumbia all flashed in the runaway.” The strange part is Doumbia scored 5 points in this game. He played just 6 minutes and 58 seconds. He was 12th (tied for last in minutes played) in a blowout win for Putnam. As a reserve, Doumbia had a solid start with Putnam, but soon found himself last on the bench. It is not surprising that he decided to transfer to Lee Academy, which is the same prep school Youssou attended. — Doumbia was the starting center for the Mali national team (under 18). He averaged 14.9 ppg and 7.4 rpg. — Check out attached video. You’ll see why Dylan Thayer states “he is special. The big man has strong defensive instincts, post skills and has an incredibly athletic finishing package at the rim.” — Doumbia would be a solid signing for Bona. He is currently listed in 2025 class. As we learned with Duane Thompson a player can decide to leave prep school a year early. Number 1 player on my wish list is 6’8” Justin Johnson. He is by far Putnam’s leading scorer, has games scoring 30+ points. This is very impressive for a Putnam player as they yearly have balanced scoring among several players. Being in 2024 class, Johnson will be signing his NLI this spring. NERR has “Justin Johnson has heard from Bona.” With Chuck Pride leaving there is a starting position at small forward available. Johnson currently has just a few offers with Georgetown, Tulsa, Florida Gulf Coast, Long Beach State and Bryant. JAKE LIEBERMAN is reporting that ST. BONAVENTURE along with a number of other schools is involved with 6-6 guard MOSTAPHA EL MOUTAOUAKKIL at Indian River State College(JUCO) originally from Morocco. SO MOUTAOUAKKIL is the #3 scorer in JUCO @ 26 points per game including 39.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Sure would have been nice to have a jumping RC to welcome him with a double-bye on the line.

I don't get the reference, but any nod to Animal House is OK in my book.
