Guards, Guards and more guards should be the top priority in recruiting. We were very spoiled with Jaylen and Lofton for eight year. Not to mention Posely and Mobley at the 2G. Need athletic and sharp shooting guards for next year. SBU is 4-21 from 3pt today and no one has made 2. Edit—Assa just made his 2nd |

Derek Murray is reporting ST. BONAVENTURE has contacted former Albany Center 6-10 240 JONATHAN BEAGLE. JONATHAN already has a visit to Richmond planned.BEAGLE averaged 12.4 ppg, 7.5 rebounds and had 4 blocks this year.

I Posted this in the portal thread also. Jonathan would provide rebounding we lacked this season. At 6'10" he is a strong lean 240. Prior to his last game, where he played only 8 mins against VT, he was averaging 9.9 rebs, 13 ppg, 59% FGs, playing 31 mpg. From St Thomas Moore Prep he was offered by Pitt but signed with the Greyhounds where he was named American East Rookie of the year. Played only 22 games this season because he left the team (personal reasons never explained). Had double digit rebounds in 8 of his 22 games (10, 11, 14, 15, 12, 16, 12, 13, 10) Played for the Albany City Rocks so RUMPLE might have played with him. I would think we have been aware of him. His videos show TREYS but he was only 8-33 (24%). He finishes with both hands, shows he can back in and score with inside spin moves, has a fall away shot, mid range, & passes well. His 59% FGs shows he finishes well. He does 3 things missing from CHAD's game. Rebounds MUCH better, passes & takes care of the ball better. He walked to the locker room, never to return, near the end of the first half against VT missing the last 10 games of the season. kccgold...That is a critical concern re: BEAGLE!
Uncovering the reason for his departure would dictate the level of comfort in offering. We can trust Coach Hart at Albany City Rocks to get his take on the kid's character and possibly why he left.
