I think the skeller renovation is a factor in the enrollment increase.

Seeing the gallon jugs of BORG drink the students are dragging around the village I doubt the seller is a factor in recruitment

I lived there one year, think it was ‘81-‘82. Never saw a rat infestation, but I did have a friendly family of skunks that lived under our unit and came out by the steps.

Crazy how the SBU enrollment is up and other small private schools are closing. Not sure how they attract new students with all the online learning and skill trade opportunities. That's really amazing.

Crazy how the SBU enrollment is up and other small private schools are closing. Not sure how they attract new students with all the online learning and skill trade opportunities. That's really amazing. I am sure how we are attracting new students and increasing our enrollment..........two major factors here: - Allied Health Majors - the previous administration ignored the recommendations from some of the trustees to enter with vigor Allied Health Field - PT, OT, PA, RN, NP. The late President Dennis DePerro emphasized this as a key goal. It worked and is working. Major in German, while a great course of study, does attract the honey bees. - Alumni Base - we have a very active alumni base who are always recruiting new students to join the Bonas nation. Legacy enrollments also help. Legacies receive very generous offers from SBU. Generation after generation attend Bonas, its a fantastic tradition.

The question is at what net tuition price point are these students being admitted at? Hopefully the math works.

I think the skeller renovation is a factor in the enrollment increase. As long as Aramark runs the Skeller pub operation the Skeller will remain a wasted resource. At my last reunion the most incompetent bar tenders I have ever experienced in my adult life were on duty. No pitchers were allowed to be purchased. Mixed drinks were an unknown universe. Coolers were under stocked, and to add insult to injury they asked 60 year old alums for proof!! Return operation of the Skeller to student managers and bar tenders, until then it will continue to be a lost operation.

There is only one "a" in Rathskeller and it comes after the "R". Just saying.

This is a fitting tribute to Dr. DePerro and his masterful leadership.

Credit hoes to a host of individuals. Certainly President Gingerich and Bernie Valento and his staff. The admissions team does exemplary work. Their performance has been putstanding over the past several years

This is fantastic news, particularly in light of the decreasing number of high school grads coming from anywhere, with Catholic school numbers decreasing rapidly. I wonder if there is concern that if this continues something is going to need to be done about dorm rooms. And Bonaville 2.0 is not an answer. I wonder if it might be time to tear down Rob-Fal and replace it with something modern.
