Good, hard fight for the W. Not many minutes from the bench in the second half, but it was uphill fight. I’d really like to see Hill more. Maybe it’s just me. But he has some skill and will absolutely be hitting the portal at this rate.

A key: Banks stopped forcing and fed Luc--who elevates better and gets shots off quicker. At same time, Luc stopped driving against bigs and pulled up for jumpers--a better pct. in his case.

Great basketball down the stretch. That was a hard fought game against a real good team

How is Brett not getting any playing time? Not sure if you noticed but when he came out of the game, a rep from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame took his shoes for immediate enshrinement. He didn’t have a backup pair and thus was unable to return to action.

10 of 10 from the free throw line in the last minute from Luc & Banks. Clutch!! Good win against a very good team.

During the postgame show coach said MTSU might be the most athletic team Bonnies will face all season. Hard to argue.
Our guys did a super job executing down the stretch and knocking down 11 straight free throws.

From the Middle Tennessee board, a meltdown hahaha and I thought we were bad after losses
… “I’m just done with this school. There are zero expectations for both mens basketball and football as evidenced by the extensions both Stockstill and mcdevitt received for mediocre results.
It’s pathetic. Football is obviously Fing terrible but now we have one of the highest paid coaches in the G5 who literally can’t win a road game in year 5 against a rebuilding A10 squad.
Just not gonna do it anymore. I am done with MT. It’s sickening what’s been allowed to transpire and the environment that’s been fostered at MT. Total Fing trash.
Y’all have a nice life.”

I hope it’s not the most athletic team we will face all season, I still have hopes for postseason play. but I will say that they looked a lot like VCU typically looks, very athletic and in your face but can’t shoot. This was a good game to get the young players ready for A10 challenges like that

2nd half adjustments and focus undid their +9 board dominance to our +8 board dominance.
After a dismal 11-20 FT display we hit 10-10 in crunch time. CHAD after sitting a long time after 3rd foul comes in with about 10 to go and collects 7 pts.
Most athletic team we have seen that holds opponents to 62 ppg with their traps turned into scores.
We may not see a MORE athletic team than these guys.
Another confidence builder for our young team.

Hard fought battle lead to victory by clutch foul shooting in closing minute. Earlier had hope Max could spell Chad. Well Max would have fouled out if left on floor for two more possessions.Max had his chance and did not perform. Love how this team is developing.

Dishman with 7 years of college had more experience than half of our team this year and last year on a combined basis.
Quality win for a young team. I knew that they would get LUCky and take those ending free throws to the BANK!

Great win, this team never lets up or drops hits head in frustration. Young, talented gladiators! Fun to watch. Meanwhile, watching Notre Dame taking it to #20 Michigan State.

Good win via 2nd half rally. Luc solid, Farell and Evans combined for 15 boards. The Bonnies held their own on the glass, almost even.
Bona was selective in shots, only 44 fga but 49% shooting. One bugaboo in the box score was 15 turnovers which MTSU converted into 16 pts.
However, Bona D forced a lot of Blue Raider bricklaying from deep (2/11), and MTSU didn't help their cause at the line (8/18) compared to SBU's 21/30.
Four-game win streak...keep it rolling. UB next.

I wasn’t ready for what I was going to see from MTSU. They give a whole new meaning to AARP. MTSU players are Athletic, Aggressive, Rugged and Physical. Now take all of these descriptive words and add a large amount of intensity. Thank goodness MTSU can’t shoot the basketball. If I was MTSU coach, I would tell the players do not take jump shots. Just take the ball to the basket and if you miss, we most likely will get the rebound and put it back in. Only thing that kept Bonnies in the game in the 1st half was MTSU’s insistence to shoot 3 pointers. There were times in the 1st half, when it felt like it was a game of men against boys. To be fair to the Bonnies, they are much younger than MTSU. 6’6” 235 pound DeAndre Dishman (their leading scorer) is playing his 7th year of college basketball. Dishman looks like a NFL linebacker. What ever Schmidt told the team at half time, certainly worked. Bonnies seemed like they were able to adjust to MTSU’s physical game. Bonnies skill and talent was the difference in the 2nd half. There are 2 MTSU stats, which described this game. The much shorter MTSU outscored the Bonnies in the paint 44-22. They also shot 2-18 from behind the arc for 11.1%. gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/stats/2022-23/middle-tennessee/boxscore/5776
