It was time… Jesse is a loyal son of St. Bonaventure and I wish him well. But you need results in the highly competitive world of D1 basketball, and he didn’t have ‘em.

Sign Morrow up for ,,three years and let her get started. No, Erica will be on hand to guide the team thru the end of the season. She can apply for the permanent job if she chooses, but there will be ample candidates up for the position.

I prefer an SBU alum, quite frankly, for the job.......that saying I wish Jesse the very best. He did not have the success he hoped, but is a great guy and great alum.
This program needs to recruit from WNY, we need players like McKenna, Sara and Dani.........and quickly too.
I think that Jesse has several years left on an extension by the way........so we will be paying him for quite a while!!

Hearing the “transformational” McKenna Maycock and Sara Pfeiffer (If we can lure her from D2) are in the mix. Exactly, we need more WNY recruits for this program.......plenty of great talent out there, now lets go sign them up...........OMG

Sign Morrow up for three years and let her get started. Apparently this is not the plan. Joe Manhertz states "we will conduct a national search for the next leader of our program, beginning immediately." Manhertz also adds "we want to thank Coach Fleming for his efforts and service to St. Bonaventure, not only through his tenure as head coach, but also his time as an assistant, and his devotion to the program dating to his time as a student here. We’re appreciative of his work for our student-athletes and wish him the best in his future endeavors.” www.thebvnewspaper.com/2023/01/15/st-bonaventure-parts-ways-with-womens-basketball-coach/

Joe is thinking outside the box. If there is a strong candidate pool, and I'd expect it will be, he will look far and wide and at the same time will not dawdle around. For whoever is the new skipper, getting Bona competitive again will be a tall order.

The top potential target should beCrowley may be available, currently 2 n 6 in conf. PC program has improved but maybe not enough. Whole staff are Bonnie's. Otherwise Priscilla Edwards, from NYC, a Bonnie, currently assoc head coach at Clemson prior to which at PC

I also doubt Crowley would return.

The last thing this team needs is an ex-coach.
It needs a newcomer with fresh approaches, one who can change the culture and recruit strongly.
