What a difference when ball goes in the basket.

Sure would like to know what play they drew up to be the final play. Because I hope that certainly wasn’t the one that they just ran.

Evans had best rebound shot there in the scrum and missed.

Terrible way to lose. Again, too much slapping at the rebound and not enough controlled physicality down low. Cost us the opportunity to get the win.

Disappointing loss. Unfortunately, the team is not getting better. In fact, it’s regressing. That’s coaching. Farrel and Evans are lost. They are freshman for sure but again that’s coaching. All the Rhode Island announcers talked about was how while Rhode Island is a young squad they’re getting better and better with each passing game. I wish that were the case with the Bonnies.

Ugly, bad last two possessions. Flower fouls an 80% FT shooter 35 ft from the bucket when RI had not scored in 4 minutes. We bail them out. Then Luc dribbles the ball for 12 seconds and throws up horrible shot. Rebounders don’t take time to go strong in final seconds.
Another road loss.

The last play of the game was BS. We got to draw something up better than that. What a disappointment.

Heartbreak! Three cracks at a gamer and could not do it. A real shame bc the Bonnies made a great late surge (11-0) to lead by one.
Another good game off the bench from Flowers (15 pts) to complement Luc's team-high 20.
Gee how close can you come to a first road win yet not get it? That smarts.

Yann last 3 games… 0, 4 and 2 points. Before that he is scoreless in first half vs UMass and scores 22 after the halftime.
Feel for the kid. He’s totally lost and has no energy.

Well…we covered?!? Seriously, this is just frustrating. This game was Canisius all over again. Inferior opponent, Banks gets hot but way too late and we don’t finish when given that glimmer of opportunity. Kyrell is making progress lately and Flowers has too, but the individual accolades mean nothing without team growth and it’s simply not there. At least in 18-19, all the frustration was early and we saw growth, not regression as many have mentioned. Ugh…

All the Rhode Island announcers talked about was how while Rhode Island is a young squad they’re getting better and better with each passing game. I wish that were the case with the Bonnies. Yeah, Schmidt woke up the day after beating ND and suddenly forgot all he knows about coaching. Hate when that happens. And in the huddle he told Luc to dribble and stumble around for 12 seconds before tossing up an off-balanced garbage shot. Agree they are not getting better — but it has more to do with the team’s lack of confidence and mental approach on the road. And NO LEADERSHIP. Moses looks like he is the most mentally tough kid, yet he commits a boneheaded foul to hand RI two points when we are up 1 with 18 seconds left.

Looking at replay: On final play (drawn up no doubt), Banks threw ball in then went to the corner and stood there. Finally broke out and of course was covered easily so Luc could do nothing but drive at 5'11" into the trees. Barry had great rebound shot and blew it.
Flowers, who has been so good, with horrid foul and so he was out of game--and so Barry in.
Farell not only with zero points but only 3 shots (I only remember one). Our starting forwards again with 2 points total.

We lost by 1 on the road. That is a step (small) forward. Moses Flowers, except for a few bad fouls….played very good. Nobody on the team is shooting like him. We had chances on the last play….Luc off the backboard, Barry left it short , and Chad couldn’t get enough strength behind it. Are we going forward or backwards ? Shots that fall cure a lot of other short comings, and on the road, so far, they just haven’t been falling.
