For a team with so much game time experience, the BONNIES just do not play like it!

How do you get a shot clock violation inside of 2 min down 5??

Bonnies have to win the A-10 tournament or no NCAAs. Too inconsistent. 2-3 in the conference is very underwhelming. One of the oldest teams in the country. Guys take too many breaks on defense. this is not an NCAA caliber team.

Hardly any cuts to basket again, few plays, just throw in to Venning who goes 1 on 2 or just passes out. No movement, no drives. Come on coach. Venning, for all his pluses, is not a passer.

Bonnies are a middle of pack A10 team. Too many guys are inconsistent… Pride 3 pts … Assa horrible defense in first half … Flowers not the same player off the bench … Mika not playing with same fire.
And, of course, another 6-minute scoring drought in second half. Might have had a long drought in first half too but I was in a comatose of disbelief!
Not sure if Schmidt will take any of the blame for his hot-cold-hot-cold team. Too many games when we play with no energy for first half.
Please don’t loose to the mighty Dukes!!

We do not move without the ball. The players are stagnant on offense. Our opponents always move the ball with more fluidity than we do.

Flowers 2 for 10, Banks 1-4.
Pride, hailed as go-to guy this week, ends with 3 points.
Evans with 9 rebounds.

We are not a tournament team. We may be a CBI team... if we improve.

You can say "not enough movement" but what is Schmidt asking them to do? People will always blame players, even question "IQ," when you have to ask what is coach designing or asking them to do. He seems to be happy to have guys feed to Venning and stand around--certainly not dialing up back doors, alley oops, etc. Was exciting to see that in first half last game and zilch tonight.--and rarely for entire year and second half of last year.

This team has so much potential, but they are the most inconsistent team I have ever seen. With all the good new players, I thought this could be a chance for Schmidt to have a really good year, instead, they still look lost at times. The officiating was awful today, but it is no excuse. One game after lighting up URI, these guys were throwing up air balls on some wide open shots. At this point, watching Banks just irritates me. He must do some really good things I cannot see, and I will go along with the coaching staffs decision, but I have to like GMU when nothing was happening, they brought in the freshman, and he hit two big threes. If there were set plays today, we could not really see them, as someone else said, very little movement. Venning comes away from the basket to play a high post and passing is not his forte, then we miss a 3 (often) and we have no big body under the rim. Overall, just maddening to watch. Evans does a lot of things well, but he is not going to be “the guy”. He is a glue piece who gets the defensive stop, the rebound or the put back. We really do not seem to have “the guy” on this team, it seems to be who is hot that day. Unfortunately, no one seemed hot today.

6 assists. That tells you how crisply we are moving the ball. 6 assists. That tells you how well we are moving without the ball.

Up 5 with just over 7 mins and the GM defense showed why their D has been so good. In the first half I felt our terrible shooting was due more to not hitting on good opportunities not their stellar D. Looked like a lid was on the basket for most of that half. Yet down only 6 at the half.
2nd half we got just 4 FTs, made them all. They had 13 more FTs in the 2nd half & outscored us by 8 pts from the stripe in spite of hitting 70% to our 100%.
