Always a good sign when your point guard is engaged in verbal warfare with the coach in pregame. Nothing says “team chemistry and harmony” more than that!! Obviously, most of us would agree that with so much disorganized chaos a majority of games that team chemistry is at a low point. That being said, nothing gets a team going more than a home crowd after a string of away games with a raucous bunch of students in attendance. I would take the Bonnies, minus the points, in this game if MAW is back.

It would be nice if Schmidt addresses this before the game tonight. I know he likes to say nothing, like when he defers questions about injuries to the training staff, who also say nothing. But the world is different now. First, alumni, like me, are contributing to the school NIL fund so players like Mika can get paid to play college basketball and represent our school. When something like this happens, it would be nice to let the fans know what the hell is going on. Secondly and probably even more important, people are now legally betting on these games and him not playing obviously affected the outcome of the game when his 2 replacements at PG shot 0-18. That's a fact. To me that's a really bad look.

I don’t think Schmidt, or me or anyone cares about your betting Really? I don't bet. In fact, if I wanted to bet the game I could not since NYS residents can't bet on NYS college sporting events. Nice try though. But Schmidt should care about alumni that are helping to pay his players and I am sure he does. It was just an observation.

It was a truly dumb observation

In-correct statement - betting on NY based collegiate athletics has nothing to do with where you're a resident of. A NYS resident can certainly bet on the Bonnies, Cuse, Cornell, Binghamton, etc - they just can't do it within the boundaries of NYS. You think Bonnies fans, students, etc. that live along the I-86 corridor don't just make a few minute drive across the boarder to PA to place bets on the Bonnies? Happens so often. Go Bonas!

You are correct. That's what I meant to articulate. ESPN has been rolling on it's scroll all day today the Bona/St Joe's line and over/under odds, obviously because the game is on ESPN2. There will be plenty of gambling on this game.

Mark Schmidt should NOT host a special pre-game press conference to inform bettors of the status of one of his players

Lots of frustration and anger has been expressed leading up to this game.
Hope some of that will be dispelled after tonight's game.
GO BONNIES!!!

If they don't win tonight, things could spiral downward even more. They need a win badly!

If there’s one constant with this year’s team is that it plays really well after a couple bad games. Should be a good night!!
Go Bonnies!!

Trouble in river city. SBUnfurled from the scene:
"Kyrell Luc will start for the 2nd straight game for the Bonnies, alongside Flowers, Pride, Assa, and Venning.
Adams-Woods is dressed and warming up."
{{{{{Luc coming off one of the worst PG games in recent history of Bonnies.)}}}}}}

Offense not great, but nowhere near as bad as the past couple games. The defense? That’s on a damn milk carton. Effort severely lacking…

This season is right on the brink of going completely off the rails.

Banks is adding nothing out there. Get Pride back in, he at least looks like he cares.
