ST JOES could be a very good team if LANGE was more of a defensive coach. they are very athletic, and shoot it very quickly and very well.their big kid is very good as well.

CHUCK had a good seat (played only 12 mins) watching while DARYL, MOSES and CHAD, who struggled mightily last game, play a whale of a game.
They combined to make 29 of 43 FGs (67%) and 10 of 18 TREYS (56%) for 73 0f out 91 pts.

bigcat is Nostradamus with his pre game prediction, "If there’s one constant with this year’s team is that it plays really well after a couple bad games. Should be a good night!!

I rarely look at the Band Wagon during a game. Reading it now there were 3 interesting observations early in the game.
"This season is right on the brink of going completely off the rails."
We win by 19!
"Banks is adding nothing out there. Get Pride back in, he at least looks like he cares."
DARYL scores 29 pts on 9/13 FGs (60%), 7-11 TREYS (64%), 4-4 FTs, 5 Assists to 1 TO and a steal.
"The defense hasnt been this bad in many years."
Well, our D caused 17 TOs creating 29 pts and made 11 STEALS to their 4
Going into the game our D was # 44 in the NATION and #3 in conference allowing 65.5 ppg & #3 Defending the TREY (.309). Better than last year.

Interesting how quiet the board gets when we play well. The usual negative nellies are MIA! N What? A team that put up 15 against an 0-5 doesn’t deserve flack? This team has tournament aspirations not just hopes of finishing over .500. This is what they can do. They can also beat VCU and Dayton, but the regressions against Fordham and Duquesne is what makes this team so puzzling.

chrismoses...Yes, a team certainly deserves "flack" after a horrendous offensive performance against the DUKES.
They also deserve a nod after a particularly fine performance. I agree with words74 that there are a few who withhold player recognition when earned.
Agree this team is puzzling and frustrating to fans. Got to enjoy an impressive win like this. Last time we were at the RC we put up 99 against 3-0 URI. Good to be home in front of the students!

WGT is right- if you’ve going to knock them when they play poorly, where is the recognition when they play well like tonight.
Here is a post from the Duquesne loss- “ I officially think Daryl Banks is a lost cause”
That same poster is not surprisingly quiet and not found tonight. 12 pages on the Duquesne loss & only on page 4 for tonight’s win!

The point being: there are some “fans” who seem to relish the Bonnies misfortunes.

4 pages when the Bonnies play good. 13 pages when the Bonnies play bad. Not surprising.
I’m guilty of being negative, too. Tonight was a lot of fun. Banks found his mojo. Everybody fed off of it.

Schmidt tonight: “The MVP of the game tonight was Barry Evans. He was what we call a stat stuffer tonight. He did the blue-collar stuff tonight and that’s how you win basketball games.”
Flowers then also praised Evans. “He’s athletic, he can dribble and he can make plays. It’s nice to go into our offense and have him everywhere on the court,” he said.

It’s clear that no one including Schmidt knows what to expect from this team other than this… When a couple guys make shots (ie Daryl, Moses, Pride, Assa, Mika) we are a top-3 team in the league. When we resemble an old blind sloth on O like vs Duquesne etc we are bottom 3 team. Consistency is a trait of great/very good teams. We ain’t close yet.
