Other than the end of the first half, Venning was a force today. He scored and rebounded extremely well.

Seemingly a very different game plan today--Venning not focus except when fouls piled up on Cohen and his sub. Many more drives and even a backdoor or two. We'll see if this is a change for rest of year or just today. A win helps.

Just watched the end again. After tie at 66, we finish 9-1. They are the leading offensive rebounding team in the league but Chad completely owned the defensive board in the ending stretch. And reading here, you’d think Cross had a career day, but he was a non-factor with 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 turnovers. I didn’t look to make sure, but he probably had most of his output in the first half. I don’t think they even mentioned him in the last ten minutes except for a couple desperate threes that missed badly. Wasn’t that mostly Assa?

UMass has some nice young pieces. It’s too bad Martin is such a prick that they will hit the portal after the season.
