Put 20 pounds on this kid with more training and he becomes a handful for any team in A10 maybe more. I'm not sure on eligibility status if it is 2 or 3. He can play and Tulsa is a tough level

He can play and Tulsa is a tough level If you look at his stats, he looks to me to have been a flop at both St John's and Tulsa. I don't think he'll become a handful offensively. In 24 games last year he averaged 1 point and 1 rebound a game. Maybe he has appeal as a rim protector.

Stats never tell the full story. Was he hurt. Was he over recruited. Looks the same as our former player Martinez. Got absolutely NO chance. Tell you what, he has better offensive capability than OSUN.

Calipari said he would go with an 8 or 9 player roster. "Why develop players so they can transfer out to another team" Interesting take on today's portal landscape.

Keita's AAU coach Jay David at NY Jayhawks said the following when he signed with St John's at age 19.
“He’s vertically one of the best players around,” David said. “He literally blocks and rebounds everything. Once he gets his weight together [he weighs 220 pounds], he’s going to be a big-time issue.
“Active, high-energy big. Great fit for Coach Anderson’s style of play. His ceiling is ridiculously high. Think Osun Osunniyi from St. Bonaventure in terms of defensive impact.”
David said an SEC coach told him Keita could anchor any defense in the country. Two coaches familiar with Keita said he is raw offensively, but has shown a knack for making a difference as a rim protector.
D and board play are clearly his assets.

I doubt he cares about losing players 10, 11 & 12. He's probably negotiating a ct clause where any money saved in scholarships goes to his budget. He's a sleazebag.

When things shake out, I believe teams will have fewer players. There will eventually, quite quickly possibly, be upwards of 1000 fewer Div 1 athletes playing hoops .. (2 or 3 players per team) Curiouser and curiouser this gets…..

We can’t do better than 1.1 ppg at Tulsa?

I heard people complain about Brown all off season and he became a valued contributor. Don't get lost in stats all the time, coaching counts for something!!
