Wanna bet? Go enjoy some sun or something. It’s too nice outside for your negativity. Hate to say it, but he's right. Look at Barry Evans and Assa. They both should have come back and they didn't. It makes it hard to get excited about college basketball like we used to because there's no continuity to following the team and watching the players progress. It's ruined college basketball and there's no arguing that! No, he's not. How many years did both Barry and Assa stay for? More than one! And guys like Council are only here a year anyway.

I know Barry is going to score 20 against us, but are we really that upset we lost him? Did anyone watch him on offense most games? Assa got worse last year and hurt us in a number of games when he was shooting poorly. He delusionally transferred to ECU, a program that hasn’t been relevant in 30 years, where he is unlikely to even start. I think we will be alright without them.

I’m gonna miss Barry. He is a good guy and an exciting talent.
Assa I’m gonna miss less but only because he was reportedly a malcontent last year so it’s probably best for both parties to move on.. I don’t want anyone to stay where they are unhappy

The Reily Center crowd would blow the roof off with chants of "BARE REE, BARE REE, BARE REE"! Truly miss those glorious days and winning teams.

Disagree with the comments about not missing Barry and Assa. Assa had an incredible freshman season. — Earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. — Ranked fourth among all Atlantic 10 players in 3-point percentage. — Named A-10 Rookie of the Week five times, second-most in program history (behind just Andrew Nicholson). — Ninth-best 3-point percentage in Bonnies single-season history. ** Above accomplishments were difficult to duplicate. Still overall Assa’s stats were similar to his freshman season. Assa scored 286 points as a freshman and had 245 as a sophomore. Well on his way to becoming a 1,000 point scorer. The big difference is his shooting percentage from 3s (dropped 8%), but he improved his shooting from 2s by 8%. Has their been a poster on the Bandwagon more critical of Barry’s shooting than I? Even with his poor jump shot, the Bonnies were better with Barry on the court. — Barry averaged 17.9 minutes a game. — When he played more than 17 minutes the Bonnies won 14 games. — Playing less than 17 minutes, Bonnies won 3 games. Like all former Bonnies I wish them the best with their new teams. gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/assa-essamvous/5346www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/st-bonaventure/men/2024.html

Would've loved to see us run a 1-3-1 with him at the top as chaser creating havoc and leading to some breakaway dunks! But here we are.

I have been following this thread but have lost count of where we are with the final OOC schedule. Can someone more knowledgeable than me advise where we are in the process? I presume we still have an opening or two we need to fill before things are finalized. Is my presumption correct? If so, how many likely slots remain to be filled? Thanks for any info provided.
Also, as long as I am asking for help and demonstrating my lack of knowledge - most likely the roster is set for the upcoming season, although the usual “open ‘ship” could possibly be used this year. Assuming that if there is going to be an addition this year, it would most likely occur prior to the start of the 24-25 academic year, does anyone know when classes start for the fall? Presumedly we are about a month away, as Labor Day is fairly early this year (the 2nd).

Missing from the school site are road games at Florida Gulf Coast and Siena, and home games vs Mansfield, Bryant, and Cal State Northridge gobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2024-25

For the Providence game in Connecticut, how do we find out where all the Bona fans will be sitting? I want to order my wife's and my ticket early. Like Bob Uecker said,'must be in the front row.' Well I would like some good seats to cheer on our Bonnies.
