Maryland leads Canisius 64-14 early in the second half. Final 108-37. I don't think I have ever seen a D-1 team get beat by 71 points. That was a NET win by Maryland. With 6 minutes left, Maryland was up by 64 and still had their starters in. What a travesty. In Jan of 1991 our beloved Bonnies got smoked by WVU in Morgantown by 61....125-64...TY & a toss of the sport coat to Tom Chapman!

12/17/87: Bonnies lost at Cuse, 111-68 … one of DiCarli’s worst hours!

When my three kids were applying to college, I told them there were two rules - you have to apply to Bonas as one of your choices - you could not apply to SU(cks), Niagara or Canisius
Bonas raised me right.

Maybe since Bloe-heim is out of the picture Cuse will come to their senses and renew the rivalry. We’d probably have to agree to lose by at least 25.

Don’t have that hostility for the orange…just wish bona continued to play them. Just a reminder. -- When creating the Big East Conference, Dave Gavitt was considering Bona. Gavitt had a long history of playing against Bona as head coach of Providence and reportedly liked Bona. At the time Olean Times Herald reported Gavitt wanted to add Bona (with some games played in Buffalo) but it was Syracuse, who strongly objected. -- To continue the rivalry, Bona offered playing 2 games in Syracuse for 1 in the Reilly Center. Syracuse rejected the offer. I root for Syracuse during the Big Dance, but I am not a fan of the Orange.

I only root for Cuse hoops when they play the Dallas Cowboys or Manchester City.

I probably should've started a thread for Bryant. I've been trying to watch them and one of a few games I could find video for was the UB game. I know some folks will say yeah the Bulls got beat by Damon College, but that said the ball are just come off a good performance against Notre Dame. Bryant looks really good to me. I think they may be one of the best teams they come to the Riley Center this year. I think they will give, someone a run for the America east title. The Bulldogs have played most of their games on the road this year and seem to be getting better after each game. They two have a newly assembled group of division one players, that I believe are very talented. I watched Barry against you and he seems so much more, calm and collected whether it's shooting a three or putting the ball on the floor and driving it to the hoop. What makes his game even more dangerous in my opinion is that he doesn't have to rely on being a one-man show they've got a 611 out of saw take a couple of shots one from three and looked really fluid. I know it's been stated somewhere else on the bandwagon but Bryant is really tall smallest player. I think is 66. They have a very talented big guard who played at St. John's House. Screw up the spelling here, but I believe his name is pinon and he played I believe on the Puerto Rican national team. There's also a 66 guard kind of combo player Timberlake, who bought for some leg issues would've been one of the top players in the country. Timberlake has had stops at Memphis. He was assembled with a number of really good players, it seems to have been put on the back burner because of the leg issue. Hopefully we can get a good crowd in the Riley Center, sorry my computer doesn't spell the names right all the time, we really could use a boost for this game. I know a lot of people like to poo poo are out of conference schedule, but there are going to be some challenges. Certainly there but now has a big, who is giving a lot of teams trouble. Providence is going to be a tough game as well and I think the games in Florida for Thanksgiving are against really good competition. So I would credit our scheduler with putting some good games on our schedule. If anything I would say, this is probably one of the more challenging out of conference schedules. We faced in a while around the A-10, I watched part of Dayton's victory over New Mexico State, George Mason doubled up the score on Coppin State, Richmond pulled away in the end from Lafayette, I've seen VCU a couple of times and I believe this is the best VCU team I've seen at least a couple years. The pelicans likewise seem to have some talent and for once have a guy who knows how to coach. So I can't say this we are not gonna want for competition, we've got off to a good start, but I think coach, or I hope coach, after tonight's game can stress the importance of being ready to play and maybe get some takers.
Lastly, I wanted to add, or ask, does anyone know if tomorrow night Bryant versus Stonehill game, which is being played at Stonehill is going to be able to be watched on ESPN plus? I looked on the Stonehill site and there was no indication that the game was going to be broadcast TV or radio, which seems strange. If anyone has that information, I would appreciate passing it along.

You should have hostility for Syracuse BECAUSE we don’t play them. They think they’re better than us in every way. None of the other schools on your list even think about us at all. And Kentucky was coached by a guy for the last decade who LIKES us and our history!

Richmond and Duquesne (especially) have been very disappointing, but 8 of the 14 A10 teams are still undefeated!
