The drunk announcer interviewed Chuck Pollock from the "Olean Herald Times." Chuck looked at him like the dude was compromised. Hysterical stuff! That announcer stated that Chuck works for the Olean Herald Times I've heard the OTH called a lot of things over the years. That's a first!

This team showed me something tonight. I didn't think Bonas could win another A-10 game where the other team got 15 more shots than us, but even without the high shooting percentage, they persevered. Our guys really did show more desire at the end.
The defense was a step better than most games and our offense was pretty good, considering how tough RI's defense was. Before this game, I had some doubts that we had made it to the upper echelon of the league, but I now think we are in the running.

42% fg shooting vs URI D not bad. But wow, I cannot recall a Bona club that knocks down free throws like this one.

When we beat the Dukes....(I believe, I believe) How epic is next Tuesday going to be: Dayton is in town and SO ARE THE STUDENTS!! Just Electric! The crowd that night should pack the house, standing room only, and make the RC sound louder than WWII.

Did the BONNIES start the game on a 9-0 run then end the game on a 9-0 run again? Did the BONNIES defense completely shut out of former TOP 60 recruit too??

That is one PERFECT inverted bell curve.
Hurley held a 4 point lead with 3:39 on the clock as he instructed the refs.
Then our D held them scorelees from that point on, allowing them only 3 missed shots & turning them over twice. Meanwhile we efficiently scored the last 9 points for a satisfying W.

A shout out to Dan Hurley who spent more time working the Refs than coaching his team.

Not Dion Wright's best box score, but he was great tonight. Schmidt takes Tyson and Woods off the floor in the second half and turns the interior defense over to Dion (and helpers). Dion manages to stay in the game and factor in on nearly all the key stops late.
Edit to add: only 24 total min for Woods/Tyson. Schmidt outcoached Hurley tonight. Going small was gutsy and effective.

I guess maybe I've come to take Wright for granted, not so much that i expect a great game out of him every night, but to be a rock down low for us atleast (and man was he way more than that tonight). But Woods just continues to impress me! He has proven he can score, when asked to, but his defense tonight, especially in that first half, was awesome! Especially going against Martin, and even Watson (a beast of a man), Woods didnt give ground, and just flat out delivered..
