Some assumptions here on my part.
I'm assuming we are still waiting on Anouar Mellouk, or at least I hope we are.
If we play this out and Anouar decides Bonaventure is the best place for him.
We just offered Brian Moore, Jr a 6-3 guard from JUCO in Ok, originally from NyC.
I recall hearing feedback from several BW members, that Mr. Moore, looks like one tough customer
With Soon, Coulibaly, Duro and Anouar, that would give us 4 front court players and 9 guards, and we'd be done.
I don't mean to be privy to what our staff is looking at, I always gotten it wrong, but somehow there must be more to this mystery.
In a completely separate matter. I thought it was interesting in Chuckie Maggio's second article on Joryam, it's linked a post or two back, that there must have been some dialogue between Joryam and the Coach Schmidt, that Coach did not intend to extend Kyle 40 minutes each game in the coming year and that there would be minutes for Joryam. I personally think that with Joryam's talent, he's going to find minutes as a shooter as well. I was happy to hear that Joryam had connected with Kyle and Shoon, who gave him the low down on why he's a fit for the program.

According to Lion Heart Basketball, ST. BONAVENTURE has offered 6-3 BRIAN MOORE JR of Northeast Oklahoma A&M JC. We offered this kid back in early April. He’s from Kingston and he’s a player. But I think he may be a 2022 target.

The report may have been confusion as he received an offer from UIC...his 2nd offer during this cycle. In his post when Bona offered, he did #2022. JUCO All-American Honorable Mention.

The tweet from Lion Heart Basketball is really confusing. They have Brian Moore wearing a Bona uniform with Reilly Center in the background. This is not recent as Bonnies offered Brian Moore on April 13. I posted about Brian Moore on April 28th. Brian Moore stats are really impressive when you consider he is a freshman. — Averaged 19.4 ppg during conference games. Team’s 2nd leading scorer averaged 11.3 ppg. — As a 6’2” SG, was 2nd in rebounds. — Overall average of 18.4 ppg is identical to Linton Brown’s scoring average. — His 424 points is 24th in NJCAA D-1 scoring. — Linton Brown was one of the best 3 point shooters in JUCO, while Brian Moore was one of the best shooters from the field in JUCO. — Of the top 25 JUCO scorers, only 1 player had a better field goal percentage than Brian Moore at 59.1%. Osun led the Bonnies at 57.1% (excluded Shaw’s 60% as he only attempted 20 shots). - High percentage shooters from the field are usually post players, which makes Moore's 59.1% shooting really impressive. JUCO with a better shooting from field than Brian Moore was a 6'8" center shooting 59.6% from the field. All-American Honorable Mention, becomes more impressive when you consider Brian Moore is just a freshman. JUCO All-American list is dominated by sophomores. Videos show Brian Moore as a physical player, who has good athleticism. Probably slightly better athleticism than Linton Brown. Next year with Jaren graduating is when Bonnies need a Brian Moore. twitter.com/LionHeartBballwww.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2020-21/div1/players?pos=st&sort=pts

Thank you mnbonnie for link to Chuckie's article "Saizonou strives to follow in mentor Kloof’s Bonaventure footsteps." I thought it was very interesting. -- "The 6-foot-3 Dutch point guard mentions Bonaventure alumnus Charlon Kloof is a mentor." -- "He loves Coach Schmidt and the way he coaches,” Saizonou remarked. “Me and him have the same mindset, so he told me a little bit about how they all have the same mentality; they think the same way.” -- "Boston College, Eastern Washington, Marshall, Montana State and Mount St. Mary’s all offered Saizonou around the same time Bonaventure did. None of those programs carry the projections of national relevance Bona does, and those possibilities- AP Top 25 billing, another conference title, a deep March Madness run- won out." -- “With Joryam the Bonnies get a young, energetic point guard who is strong, works hard, athletic and very coachable,” Kloof assessed. -- “They said they needed a backup point guard for Kyle Lofton, because that’s the only point guard they had on that team and that he was playing a lot of minutes last season. They don’t want him to play 40 minutes a game next season,” Saizonou relayed. “They want him to rest a little bit more so he can play longer… down the stretch.” pickinsplinters.com/2021/05/16/saizonou-strives-to-follow-in-mentor-kloofs-bonaventure-footsteps/

Here's a good sign that I've been spending too much time on the BW. I was scrolling twitter and I saw this name just reading the script, it was surrounded by other postsk 2022 four star offered by some big name school, and then I came across Advil Dual, and rather than think, I immediately started to search for this kid Advil Dual.
I hope Anouar Mellouk appreciates all the love.

No new here. Just restless. I'm hoping the pause is so we can bring Anouar Mellouk to campus. Somebody said the visit period opens up on June 1st. There is no question in my mind that Anouar is the guy, hopefully he'll be able to get to campus and meet some of the team. I know that in one of his videos he talked about how important family is to him, his dad, and his two sisters. It seems like time and time again what guys say about the feel they get when the visit campus is a true sense of family, that is the bedrock of our program. Not to leave any rock unturned, here is my choice for our 13th ship, I came across this video of my man Amadou Traore, 6'7" 255 from Allen CC, Courtney Stockard's school. Amadou was an early signee of Chris Casey at Niagara in 2018 out of Brooklyn Collegiate I believe. I remember reading about him in the same group of players, talent wise with Justin Winston, although as e know they have very different games. In fairness to Amadou he's got offers of his own. I'd love to have somebody take a look at the video and let me know what you think. Is he a better prospect than Jalen Shaw? www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYqVUvIHoIE

Don't believe we are finished. This ultra quiet period generally coincides with staff taking vacation. I expect activity when June 1 opens campus visits again

My two cents, or in this case three cents.
I would say no to AJ Braman. That and I just saw a tweet from Chuckie Maggio that basically says the Bona staff has moved on.
I am still all in on Anouar Mellouk, just feel he is so versatile, can shoot the ball, can defend, can rebound. I think he's going to be a special player for someone, hopefully the Bonnies.
That said, I also really like Shermani Fuller, this is de ja vu, Shoon. Shermani could be looking top shelf, but hey, Dick Vitale's ranking yesterday or one that he commented on said the Bonnies are #12. Fuller to me is so much like the guys we've added gifted athlete, really coming into his own.

My two cents, or in this case three cents. I also really like Shemani Fuller, this is de ja vu, Shoon. How about following for Shoon like? “Shemani has a high floor and a high ceiling, so much untapped potential. He has a 7-foot-1 wingspan, he’s 6-8, he can run. He not only blocks shots but how many times have we seen him take a charge? He sacrifices his body and wants to win. I think he will continue to develop and to get better and I think, in his time here, he has already learned a lot about Shemani,” Rivera said. The goal for Fuller, when he returns to Woodstock Academy after the holiday break is a simple one, get into the weight room. “That’s my number one priority- building up my body,” Fuller said. www.woodstockacademy.org/site/default.aspx?PageType=3&DomainID=67&ModuleInstanceID=3751&ViewID=6446EE88-D30C-497E-9316-3F8874B3E108&RenderLoc=0&FlexDataID=6788&PageID=819
