What happens if Richmond, Bonaventure and URI all finish 14-4? Here's the answer as best I can tell: to be determined The first tiebreaker for a 3 team tie is head-to-head competition....each team is 1-1 (we beat Richmond/lost to URI), Rich beat URI, lost to us, URI beat us, lost to Richmond). So now you go to the highest ranked common opponent and your record against them. All of us are 0-1 against Dayton, but here is the catch, URI plays Dayton 1 more time....so I think if URI wins they are 2nd, we finish 3 and Richmond 4. If URI loses we are 2nd, Richmond 3rd and URI 4th because uri will be 0-2 vs the Flyers. Please check that out No1stunna I think that is correct. I didnt think there was an easy path to the 2 but that is plausible scenario.

Wouldn't that scenario be something! Overtake URI for the two slot. Of course, need UD to do its UD thing again vs Rhody.

To be honest, this would be a dream situation, as URI would also get Dayton a third time in the conference semis... it would be difficult for the Flyers to knock them off thrice in the same season.

Last night was a game we should have had but let's look forward. Last 3 for us consist of 2 lower tier (Lasalle(away) and St. Joes and a rough away game in the finale in St. Louis. Richmond on the other hand has 2 home games in Umass and Davidson and wrap it up away at Duquesne. I still think we are closing in on the 3 seed by winning the tie breaker with Richmond. Our coaching staff wiil focus on making this happen but emphasize the one game at a time as the whole league with the exception of VCU seem to be hitting their stride. One take away from the loss was Shoons breakout game from an offensive perspective. Career high in points and just as important he is staying out of foul trouble. Can't say enough about how surprisingly well the team has played after the horrific start. March will be here in a few days and there always are teams that upset the apple cart by winning the conference tourney. Closing in on the double bye and our game changing big guy starting to gel after a bumpy start to the season with the injuries, I would view the Bonnies as the long shot or dark horse to win the whole thing in Brooklyn. If Dayton falls anything can happen. Staying Positive.

Totally agree... maybe Davidson will be "on" against Richmond... and the mighty Dukes could pull off the upset against Spidey in the last game... but first things first, beat these two Philly teams to set up a gigantic one against the Billikens.

Exactly...take care of Lasalle Saturday. I can't see how we lose to Joe's in our gym and if we do then we have totally gone off the rails. I expect the Friday night game of Spiders vs Dukes in Pittsburgh will really make our game the following day in St Louis be a play in game for us. Alot of possibilities. Staying positive.

By the time the Bonnies tip at SLU that Saturday, we'll know exactly where we stand with the two Friday games both being of interest with standings implications (Davidson/Spidey/Dukes). I would honestly be fine getting the #4 seed - high probability to face Dayton regardless of seed to win the Championship and may rather play them in the "middle/look-ahead" game than playing them for a championship. There's no doubt should we play them Saturday, they'll be looking ahead to Sunday and the Bonnies will have absolutely nothing to lose in that Semi- game. Dayton will likely being thinking #1 seed in the NCAA tourney, perfect A10 season and A10 tourney championship. That Saturday game may be ripe.....

I think the whole A10 tournament might be look ahead games for Dayton who will know about what seed they will be by the time their game tips on Friday.
For the 4 seed - we are in the catbird seat and this is what the opposing teams need to do to unseat us and what their remaining schedule looks like
Duq needs to finish a game ahead of us which pretty much means they need to win out (Mason, @vcu, Richmond) and have us slip up to one of the Philly schools, with the head to head even the next tiebreaker is record vs top of the conference and Duq is 0-2 vs Dayton which is considered worse than 0-1 despite their combined margin of defeat being worse than our one game margin of defeat (not really a factor just a dumb observation)
Davidson has the tiebreaker with us but has @dayton, @ Richmond, home for VCU to close out the year. The odds they catch us aren't good. Especially since they struggle shooting anywhere that isnt Belk or the RC
SLU is who we need to worry about. If they stay a game back leading into the final game they could usurp us for the double bye. SLU goes to URI Sunday and to Mason Wednesday. They matchup well with URI and URI is banged up (Dowtwin and Langevine were hurt during the Fordham game last night). Mason is tough at home and comfortable in low scoring grind it out games. Those will be tough games for SLU but very winnable.
For the 3 seed - We need to win out and have Richmond stumble once or if we lose one of the next 3 we need 2 Richmond losses. Richmond has home for UMass, Davidson then finish @duq. All three of those teams are capable of beating Richmond. UMass is playing through Tre Mitchell and has looked much better of late. He is the type of guy that Golden struggles with. Davidson can light it up at any time, that could be a fun 3 point barrage or a brick fest depending on which versions of those two show up. The final game @duq could be a showcase for Gilyard. Carry struggled against Fatts and Cobb two smaller, quicker guards.

They probably won’t but if Davidson beats Dayton tonight that is very bad for our double bye chances
