FJS - I am with your thinking one hundred percent. I don’t think there’s any way a single bye is better then the double and tourney history demonstrates that trying to predict future opponents based on the probabilities of who will win in the tourney is unreliable. Get that extra day off to rest and prep.

Dukes lost to Spiders (73-62) to go 11-7 tonight. They were 1 pt dogs.
St Louis (11-6) is favored by 5.5 tomorrow night over Bona (11-6).

Interesting tidbit that I did not take into account.....if Rhode Island loses tomorrow, they will finish in conference at 12-6, the same as the winner of our game.....we lost to them so they have the tiebreaker against us, but Saint Louis beat them, thus if Saint Louis beats us and URI loses....Saint Louis finishes 3rd.

Another tidbit....if we win, then Saint Louis and Duquesne are tied, Duquesne has the tiebreaker....therefore Duquesne 5th and Saint Louis 6th, same as last year when they won the whole thing.
