Does this quote from Brett conflict with any one else's expectations for next year? (Justin, Linton, Quadry, Joryam)
“And then I’ve got four years to run the show as their point guard,” Rumpel said. “So it was a really good pitch and a really good situation.”
In other words, who of the above might also be expecting to start as PG?

I don't think it matters. I would imagine they've all been told they'll start if they earn it.

From Go Bonnies "Brett Rumpel Commits To Impressive Bonnies Recruiting Class." Quotes from the article -- "We are excited for Brett to join the family. He is an explosive point guard with a high basketball IQ. He can get to the rim and will fit in well with our up-tempo style of play," Bonnies head coach Mark Schmidt said. -- Schmidt "He is going to redshirt this season and learn our system. We are really excited he has decided to come to Bonaventure and use his first year to learn the system and get comfortable. We feel he will have a great career for us." -- Before selecting St. Bonaventure as his recruitment profile continued to rise. While also receiving interest from high-major programs, New Recruit Media described Rumpel as being "arguably the quickest guard in the nation." -- Rumpel fills the last remaining scholarship for the 2021-22 season gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2021-22/releases/20210805ld3ubh

Having 4 players who believe they can be the starting PG is a great situation for a coach. Competition is a great motivator to improve a player's development and game. It is even better with all the candidates for PG; Quadry, Joryam, Justin and Brett being able to play shooting guard. Cream always rises to the top and the other players could start at another position or add solid depth. Sadly we know the new reality of college basketball with some choosing to transfer. I see Linton playing the wings at Bona.

D1 basketball is usually a guard game of late. We will need three guys who can handle the ball to keep it rolling a 1/2 are interchangeable. The best players will play.

I think what makes the five from last year so dangerous is Jaren Holmes' ability to handle the ball when Kyle gets in foul trouble or even may have needed a little rest (heh heh).

Perfect for taking over for Welch long term and in the short term his 2 or 3 threes off the bench will be huge in big games

Where does Matt Rumpel stand vs King Rice statistically? High School Both went to Binghamton High School. King Rice was Mr Basketball and 2nd Team All American before going onto UNC. Matt Rumpel was a scoring machine. I’m just curious to see a comparison. Wrong name - check Wrong school - check Typo/format error - check Primo ‘Wagon Post *chef’s kiss*

There was a Brent Rumpel also, a big basketball family.
I look forward to watching Brett.
