Brett looks amazing in those City Rocks videos... lightning quick with the ball and great handle... I gotta think Schmidt and staff have big plans for him.

Charlon Kloof meets Jaren Holmes is my best comparison for Brett. Whatever happens for him won’t be because he didn’t work hard enough. You don’t question his love of the game like you never did with Kyle Lofton. Good Call BO2 - Work Ethic & intensity ... Physically - Think Bobby Hurley meets Bobby Sura . Lofty expectations for sure - if he can even approach the level of play of Hurley/Sura, we are in for another exciting 4 years. The "Barry & Brett" show ...

Bobby Hurley played at St. Anthony's #1 team in the country / played against the best of the best. Sura was a star at G.A.R Memorial / went on to play at a very deep FSU team. Hope he turns out good, but the level of competition so far is not even close.

TRUE - I was speaking to his physical traits and his style of game. Jimmy Chitwood would be a better analogy when factoring in the level of competition he faced in high school. Although - I don't believe Jimmy Chitwood played AAU ball(LOL).

Lofton never had any arc in his 3 pt shooting. Does Brett have a more natural 3 pt shooting stroke? Lofton seemed to cruise while Brett looks play full throttle.

ddsmugs....Brett's video playing for Albany City Rocks (far better talent than HS league) shows a good arc from the stripe and on his treys.
Some have posted he is a SG. In this video you will see him playing the point and displaying smart and effective play making passes.
You also get an idea of his hounding D and overall hustle with a nose for the ball.
A known gym rat he has put up countless treys in the RC this past season. I expect his trey is even better than the 38% he made at Seton Catholic.

6 pages for a player who has yet to step on the court - must be some kind of record for the Bandwagon.

Yes that’s a lot of posts but when was the last time we had a legit redshirt frosh? One who had 35/10/5 per game in HS. Not sure why Anouar doesn’t get the same love!?!?
Really hoping these young guys get a chance to prove themselves next season.

Agree that Anour needs some love. In this Brett video, as a senior at Seton Catholic, I see him make a pass I don't think I have ever seen. He passes to a team mate thru the legs of his defender. Its at the 1:55 mark of the video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk0NaAPnpiI

He shot only 32 shots from deep compared to 218 from inside the arc during his senior year in Binghamton. He appears to be a slasher from his videos and the stats back it up as he got to the line an incredible 117 times in only EIGHT games as a senior. I know Binghamton high school basketball is not exactly competitive, but he seems to have a lot to offer judging from the limited videos I've watched.

He understands what he needs to improve on, and has, so far, had almost a year to do it. He could get to the rim easily in high school. This is the A-10. He will show he can hit it from deep.

chrismoses.....You make an excellent point citing the fact that BRETT had only 15% of his shots come from deep in spite of making them at 38% clip. I factored in his low # of trey's taken in my prediction that he will be a solid TREY shooter in the A10. Here is my rationale.
You can see the ease at which he breaks down defenses, finds a seam and finishes, OR draw defenders to feed to a team mate for an easy bucket, OR draw the foul and live on the stripe for lots of points. His attacking the basket produced such good outcomes he did not rely on knocking down treys.
His impressive scoring at the Seton Catholic league level of play came from attacking the basket. He didn't need the 3 ball to put up those big #s. However, in DIV 1, A10 he will be far more challenged replicating that style of play. His TREY, out of necessity, will be more relied upon for a more balanced & productive offense & he can create his own shot.
His form from the stripe, pull up Js and shots from deep all look good and have a good arc. That combined with the endless hours he put in on further developing the trey has me coming to the conclusion he will be a TREY threat.
You say, "Rumpel's game is not outside shooting." If you based that solely on the volume of treys he took his senior year I think your assessment is mistaken.
We shall see come the fall.

He might change, but I don’t think any season at Seton he averaged more than two 3PT attempts per game. Was a four year varsity player. Yes, A10 is obviously a step up from Binghamton high school ball, he did play on a high-level AAU team and his game still appeared to be the same.
