Robinson got immediate benefit from his remarkable turn around at FDU. Tobin moves fast. In the span of two days he got a new job and changed his surname to Robinson.

Penn State's Micah Shrewsberry is off to Notre Dame. Curious to see who backfills in State College.

17-23 in conference play at Penn State and Notre Dame runs to hire him. Strange times I mean he got Penn State to the tourney in year 2 and won a game. Penn State hadn't won a game in the dance in 22 years and has only been to the NCAAs three times in the 30 years before his arrival. That's pretty impressive. The Penn State AD was at BC when they hired Earl Grant. I know Grant just signed an extension, so this likely won't happen, but supposedly Kraft (PSU AD) is obsessed with Grant and miiight make a run at him in BC. That might be a lot more difficult now, but not impossible. Don't think I want to see Boston College open up this offseason for obvious reasons. Thinking Penn State turns to Matt Langel or VCU's Mike Rhoades who's from the Hazleton area and went to college at Lebanon Valley.

Probably still has ties down there might make it easier for him to transition to the head coach position

Arkansas State has historically not paid. Surprised to see him opt for the Sun Belt School. Historically UB Bulls don’t pay either. UB Bulls aren’t paying anything $500,000 to get rid of a huge mistake Jim Whitesell was a heavy lift. If UB Bulls were smart which there not I would hire Mark Schmidt away from the St Bonaventure Bonnies. Why? Because it would play in Buffalo Mark Schmidt is a very good basketball coach in the MAC he would have a easier road to the NCAA tournament. Plus it damages St Bonaventure Bonnies basketball which if you think about it would benefit UB Bulls basketball in Buffalo. Offer Mark Schmidt $2 million a year he is gone. That is what normal state schools do but UB isn’t a normal state school. It’s a turf battle if you are UB you want to crush the competition. They finished off Canisius and Niagara basketball just St Bonaventure Bonnies remains with some credibility left in Western New York college basketball circles in my opinion. Go Bonnies! Let’s Go Buffalo

From Alabama news…last year…. Men’s basketball assistant coach Bryan Hodgson got a raise to $425,000 a year after making $382,000 in 2021, according to UA payroll data. Curious…that he signed for less….
