He is not going to make 375 K at Ark St., that is base salary only. Real total package is probably around 600 K.............

From Alabama news…last year…. Men’s basketball assistant coach Bryan Hodgson got a raise to $425,000 a year after making $382,000 in 2021, according to UA payroll data. Curious…that he signed for less…. I can see it, you want to run the show and not be someone's assistant so you bet on yourself. That's a lot for an assistant, that's Alabama for ya

Saw several: Mike Rhoades to Penn State stories over the weekend. A Jeff Goodman tweet commented on getting to the NCAA from the Big Ten versus the A-10 being a factor. Eight of the fourteen B10 schools made the dance. Only one of fifteen A-10 members made the tourney and it was only because of the automatic berth. When it comes down to recent NCAA Tournaments, the A-10 is probably the toughest league of all for a coach to get a bid from.

Not only played at Lebanon Valley but paced the Dutchmen to the NCAA-III title his senior year. Final at Buff State. The head coach of that team was Pat Flannery who later led Bucknell to two NCAA tournaments, beating Kansas in 2005 and Arkansas in 2006.

Saw several: Mike Rhoades to Penn State stories over the weekend. A Jeff Goodman tweet commented on getting to the NCAA from the Big Ten versus the A-10 being a factor. VCU has made 8 trips to the NCAA and 1 to the NIT in the 10 seasons since joining the A10 (excluding COVID in 2020). For VCU, it would appear it is easy to make the tourney from the A10. Penn State has made 1 trip to the NCAA and 1 to the NIT in the same time span (going back 10 seasons). It would appear it is much more difficult for Penn State in the Big 10. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/virginia-commonwealth/men/2013-schedule.htmlwww.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/penn-state/men/2013-schedule.htmlVCU is the better program. Goodman seems either to be naive or a P5 shill. Highlighting the one season the A10 is down is disingenuous.

Pedo State is the dregs of the Big 10. If he leaves VCU for that then it’s only for $$$

VCU wasn't going to the NCAA this past season IF they did not win the A-10 Tournament.

VCU wasn't going to the NCAA this past season IF they did not win the A-10 Tournament. VCU (NET 50, RPI 20) would have gotten in with a loss to Dayton in the final. If they hadn't gotten in, it would have been the first time for the league not to get the outright winner of the regular season an at-large. And it would have been the highest ranked RPI team not to get into the tournament. VCU would have gotten in over Pittsburgh (NET 67, RPI 56), whom they beat at Barclays in November (without Baldwin). www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2023/schedule/VCUwww.warrennolan.com/basketball/2023/schedule/Pittsburgh

And the last at large bids are seeded #11. VCU got a 12 seed after beating Dayton. It’s clearly the only way they were getting in.

Nothing is certain, but VCU was on the board. Dayton would have been the 12 seed, VCU an 11 (First Four) in place of NET 67, RPI 56 Pittsburgh, whom they beat.

There’s no scenario VCU gets in as an at-large this year. Too many bad losses, including one to a team in brown 😎

Why would VCU get a better seed for losing to Dayton vs beating them? That should be enough to tell you how screwed up this selection process is. The last at larges most years really should be 12 seeds. You’re telling me Charleston went 30-3 and only deserved a 12 seed? Telling us that they wouldn't have made it without winning their conference tournament
