Saturday the 18th was an ok night for the A-10. 4 expected wins, LaSalle over southern Indiana, Loyola over New Orleans, VCU over Seattle, but URI lost to Northwestern. So no real resume builders. Games were generally close. Most importantly however, Brett Rumpel didn’t have anything to do with any of the games so maybe this post doesn’t belong here😂

Rumpel with 16 points and 6 assists in another Manhattan win. He is leading the team in minutes played and assists, 2nd in points (12.3/game) and rebounds. It will be interesting to see how he fares against Siena, Niagara, and Canisius ... Nice game. However it was against Felician University which is a DIVISION 2 TEAM!!!! But thanks for the A-10 talk update.... Also had double figures agaisnt Kansas while the Bonnie’s lost their 4th MAAC game in a row 😂 |

Dayton probably fared the best bowing to # 6 Houston by 14 pts.

Nice game. However it was against Felician University which is a DIVISION 2 TEAM!!!! But thanks for the A-10 talk update.... Also had double figures agaisnt Kansas while the Bonnie’s lost their 4th MAAC game in a row 😂 I bet those 11 points were all against Kansas top 5 players and none of them came at garbage time in that nail biting battle. I hope he does well. He is extremely athletic and somewhat local to sBU but unfortunately he had one speed and was out of control. If he would have stayed at bona's maybe he would have developed into an a-10 player. But at this time last year he struggled. He had opportunities. But hearing about 16 points against a D-2 school is really not A-10 talk. |

Brett Rumpel will learn much in the MAAC, and will flourish there. His development at Bonas was hampered by several key injuries, and now that he is healthy and getting plenty of minutes it is good to see him mature at Manhattan. Certainly he was a premier player at Binghamton Catholic........just like Bridget Moynihan!!!

BRETT starts, plays most mins (34 mpg), is their # 2 scorer at 12.3 ppg shooting 39% FGs and 33% TREYS, 80% FTs, #2 rebounder (6 rebs). Manhattan is 3-1.
He is perfectly suited for success in the MAAC.

He is perfectly suited for success in the MAAC. We saw far less effective 1st year players at Bonas than Brett, and many of those guys ended up being very good. I am sure Brett would have adjusted and been a solid contributor at SBU. |

Also had 15 agaisnt St Joes in the one bid “A-10” that you think is levels above the MAAC for some reason. Both one bid leagues and the Bonnie’s are 0-4 in their last 4 games agaisnt MAAC teams clown |

YEAH, but at the end of last season he was getting many minutes. The A-10 is ranked 13 overall in college basketball conferences. Manhattan conf is ranked 30th. I'm pretty sure all I ever said is that Brett wasn't an A-10 player. He wouldn't have left if he was guaranteed playing time. I believe he left before the addition of Mika Adam woods. There's nothing to argue about. it would have been great if his 35 pts a game in HS translated to the Atlantic-10 but it did not. He left for a lesser basketball conference and is doing okay. what's the problem buddy?  Is he your best friend? ? |
