The decline in the a10 happened well before the NIL / transfer portal. It has been in decline for years. Quit blaming it / how it hurts mid majors.

Lets look at the arenas. There are quite a few that are not mid major arenas.

The majority of the league plays in legitimate arenas guys. No excuses.
Its also that loser victim mentality. Always making excuses why you can't do this or that.

As for the NIL, just follow the golden rule. Schools with the most gold will get the best opportunity to win championships.

The decline in the a10 happened well before the NIL / transfer portal. It has been in decline for years. Quit blaming it / how it hurts mid majors. It's a solid basketball conference with the majority of teams that stuck it out instead of moving on during the realignment. They compete every year out of conference against top 20 teams. Maybe it has declined a little but the NIL is making it tougher. Nobody is complaining b/c Bona has still been able to bring in players but they can't develop them b/c they don't have the years. Calipari who strictly recruited one year players has now pretty much bitched about the recruiting process. He's was at Kentucky with a huge bball history and most likely way more NIL money and he's complaining. Bonnieguy why don't you layout the solution since you seem to know it. Everyone that likes college hoops has the right to complain about the NIL. LOL>. I mean big time coaches have come out and said they wouldn't want to deal with this and glad they retired.. Maybe you can't complain b/c you don't really care but college basketball use to be one of the most fun tournaments to watch. Sorry I and many other have complained.

GW You got Richmond twice. Is that arena your favorite to attend? ? any arena could be a dump but if it's packed I bet players would still choose to go. So you want a great team, in a great conference, with great concession food, convenient parking, and a nice comfy seat? My gosh.

Fordham’s gym reminds me of the gym from Hoosiers. It is old time and deserves national historic recognition. St. Joe’s was comparable to Sbu last time I saw it…maybe a little smaller. Didn’t the Dukes just build a new field house a few years ago? The league has slipped only because it couldn’t hold its best teams …Temple, Xavier, etc…chasing more money and exposure Bona could play larger arenas in Buffalo,Rochester,Albany it it didn’t prefer Reilly center advantages.

Just read another nugget. The NCAA announced that student athletes have no limit to number of transfers as long as they maintain academic eligibility. Players probably won’t have to sit out a year.

The NIL has ended program building college basketball as we know it. Bona will never be the same regardless of who is coach and nothing will make me stop complaining about the worst thing to happen to sports in our lifetime

Bottom line, college "student-athletes" should not get paid. It's a joke. It will ruin college bb but don't forget to buy season tickets, donate to the BAF and to the Colllective. Yeah, right. Also, inquiring minds want to know: Has anyone heard from the 2 million dollar coach yet? LOL.

Bona will never be the same regardless of who is coach and nothing will make me stop complaining about the worst thing to happen to sports in our lifetime Agreed, college athletes should not be paid. They are already well compensated with free tuition, room and board, plus a monthly stipend. The NIL program is just a scam, engineered by the Power 6 to destroy mid major programs and clear the field of upsets in the Big Dance and other tournaments in other sports. The salary scam is just an extension of that program, and will, if not challenged, destroy mid major efforts like Bonas. I refuse to contribute to the NIL in any way. BAF yes, NIL no way, no how. Bonas and other mid majors need to unite and fight against this overt corruption. Unlimited transfers is yet another death knell for college sports, and amounts to total and unlimited free agency. College sports are in grave danger here.

The thing will athletes getting paid is that it’s not coming from the TV networks, or the schools. It’s money coming from the boosters. I’d have no problem if the players got a chunk of the March madness tv deal as an incentive for making and going deeper in the tournament. But the situation where you are expecting fans of a smaller school to throw money at guys that are just going to leave the next opportunity is silly. I like to think I’m as diehard a Bona fan as anyone but you just aren’t getting a return on that investment at all by donating to our collective. Then you hear about one of biggest gets in portal causing problems all season and it just makes me angry.

in the not too distant future we will no longer have to worry about NIL. college hoops will be chopped up into pieces.moving forward the players will be demanding more and more money until the breaking point is hit.case in point, its been alleged on the CANISIUS board that FRANK MITCHELL will be transferring to the U OF MINNESOTA for $200,000 dollars. if true, this year its 200K , next year its 300K, the following year its 500K. GOODBYE COLLEGE HOOPS.
